5 Introduction 1 Introduction The document is intended to provide an overall introduction of icp Bundles which is the combination of TP components and CC components. icp Bundles are composed of four components: ifoundation, iprocess, irule and iservice. Overview of each component is provided while detailed usage is dotted in the respective User Guide and Developer Guide. 1.1 Intended Audience The intended audiences of this document are: Developers System Administrators Business Administrators Business Operators 2 Overview of icp icp is served as a fundamental role in the whole system. It provides a uniform enterprise-level application development framework, a uniform flexible business process engine and a uniform business logic management system. Due to the high level of unification, icp enables integration with legacy system and batch execution. icp bundles are divided into four components: ifoundation, iprocess, irule and iservice, as shown below. 1

6 icp Overview ifoundation provides a uniform framework and services for developers to develop enterprise application. iprocess and irule enables users to manage process, business rules, formulas in a unified and efficient way. iservice provides a set of tools for developers and administrators. 2.1 ifoundation ifoundation includes UIC, XMS, EMS, Rate Table, Foundation, Data Export, CCP_common, and Metadata. Metadata provides uniform framework and services for developers to develop enterprise application. XMS provides extension point as the location of variable business logic for extension service. EMS provides entity management. Rate table is a data store for rate and the query criteria for the rate. Foundation provides functions such as audit, cache, taglib, user management, security, web framework, unit test assist, error code maintenance, and common parameter maintenance. In the presentation layer, ifoundation includes UIC and a series of JSP tags and JS library which enables developer to design a uniform JSP page. As to the business logic layer, ifoundation enables developer to design and develop business logic with some framework to enhance the flexibility and decrease the coupling of business logic. Meanwhile, user can operate database, manage transaction and design Data Model under the ifoundation framework. For Developer, refer to ifoundation Developer Guide for details. 2.2 iprocess iprocess is a uniform process management system which is managed by workflow engine. User can design business process, manage business process and operate their task in the workflow engine. The core of iprocess is JBPM. All the defined processes are listed in the work list and watch list. Using the workflow management system, user can configure the work list and watch list, and monitor processes. The purpose of iprocess is to manage process in an efficient way so as to enhance performance. For Business Administrator and System Administrator, refer to iprocess User Manual for details. For Developer, refer to iprocess Developer Guide for details. 2

7 Overview of icp 2.3 irule irule is a uniform management system which is composed of two parts: Formula Management System(FMS) and Rule Management System(RMS). In the FMS business calculation process, user can define, organize and perform formulas, as well as get calculation results. In the RMS business rule order process, user can define, deploy, execute, monitor, and maintain the variety and complexity of rules. The purpose of irule is to provide a user-friendly UI for developers and administrators to manage formulas and rules. For Business Administrator and System Administrator, refer to irule User Manual for details. For Developer, refer to irule Developer Guide for details. 2.4 iservice iservice includes SOA (JBoss ESB Wrapper), Batch Framework, Printing for Windward, Report Manager for Crystal Report, and FMS for PLSQL, which provide some tools for developers and administrators. SOA is used to integrate with legacy system through MQ.Web service. It enables message transformation and unifies invoking service interface. Batch Framework is special data process job which includes batch task dispatch, batch task monitor and batch execution engine. Printing for Windward is a print server which can generate report sheet like PDF, Word, Excel or HTML according to users requirements. Printing for Windward is composed of two parts, data and template. Report Manager for Crystal Report is used to generate reports based on the predefined templates and data generated by system. The reports can be exported as PDF, RTF, Excel, and HTML files. They can also be directly sent to printer for printing. FMS for PLSQL is yet another FMS system. It is similar to Java FMS, but it translates the formulas that users have defined into PLSQL script instead of java code.
