5 About This Guide This guide details mappings between fields in Oracle Prime Projects and P6 EPPM. Field mappings determine how data is exchanged between P6 EPPM and Prime Projects using Cloud Sync. This guide also lists the Prime Projects API objects that correspond to each Prime Projects and P6 EPPM field. Caution: Personally Identifiable Information (PII) may be at risk of exposure. P6 EPPM to Oracle Prime Projects Data Mapping For the purposes of Oracle Prime Projects Cloud Sync, Oracle Prime Projects fields are mapped to P6 EPPM fields that represent equivalent types of data. Prime Projects Cloud Sync updates the values of fields in one product using the values of corresponding fields in the other product. For example, a project using Cloud Sync integration set to export data from P6 EPPM to Prime Projects will update the Prime Projects status field to match the value of the corresponding project status field of the project in P6 EPPM. Mapped P6 EPPM and Prime Projects fields have associated representations in the Prime Projects API in the form of response object properties. You can use the Prime Projects API to view and modify application data. Risk Scoring Matrix Risk Matrix riskmatrix The risk matrix assigned to the project for calculating project risk scores. Default Calendar Calendar calendar The calendar assigned to the project. Not Applicable Project Currency The currency used by the project. It can give background information or establish a purpose for the item. These details help differentiate between items with similar names and are especially useful in multi-user environments. 11 P6 EPPM to Oracle Prime Projects Data Mapping Project Status Status The current status of a project. Proposal: The project is a project proposal and has not been extensively planned nor accrued any costs. Rejected: The project proposal has been rejected and will not be initiated as a project. Planned: The project is currently planned for execution. Project managers input expected project costs and other project data during this stage. Active: The project is currently active and being executed. Inactive: The project has been rendered inactive and will temporarily accrue no costs. Complete: The project has been successfully completed and will no longer accrue costs. status Status values are converted using the following scheme: A P6 EPPM status of Requested is converted to a Prime Projects status of Proposal. A P6 EPPM status of Inactive is converted to a Prime Projects status of Inactive. A P6 EPPM status of What-if is converted to a Prime Projects status of Planned. A P6 EPPM status of Active is converted to a Prime Projects status of Active. A P6 EPPM status of Planned is converted to a Prime Projects status of Planned. A P6 EPPM status of Template sets the corresponding Prime Projects project's Template flag to true. 11

12 Cloud Sync Data Mapping Guide Strategic Priority Planned Start Strategic Priority The project's priority in the strategic plan. This priority value ranges from 1 to 10,000 with a default of 500. Use of the priority value, such as whether to place higher priority at the lower end of the scale, toward the endpoint 1, or at the higher end, toward 10,000, is at the discretion of the user. This field is not used for calculating data. Project Planned Start The start date for the time phased Planned Budget of the project. Planned Budget cost spread will adjust when this date is changed. Data Date The progress point, or "as-of date", for activities in the project. Project status is up-to-date as of the data date. You can set the data date when you schedule the project, or you can set it manually. The ApiEntityProjectFinancial schema represents project financial fields in the Prime Projects API. The following table lists P6 EPPM project cost fields and their corresponding fields and API object properties in Prime Projects: P6 EPPM Field Prime Projects Field Prime Projects API Object Property Project Annual Discount Rate PROJ ID The unique identifier for a project set by the user who created the project. Annual Discount Rate The interest rate associated with the cost of an investment from your commercial bank or another funding source. For example, an annual growth rate of an investment such as 4.75% can be used as an annual discount rate. This rate is used when a future value is assumed and you are trying to find the required Net Present Value. This value can be entered manually or can be imported. The valid values are Triangular and Uniform. Minimum Duration The estimated least amount of time required to complete the activity. If all three duration fields have values, the Uncertainty Distribution is set to a value of Triangular, if only the Minimum and Maximum fields have values, the Uncertainty Distribution is set to a value of Uniform, and if none of the duration fields have values, the Uncertainty Distribution is set to None. 17

Material: Indicates that the resource has a unit of measure other than time. Inactive resources might have left the organization, but are not deleted from the system because they might have been assigned an activity in the past or have incurred actual hours. status If the active flag is set within P6 EPPM, the status will be set to Active in P6 EPPM. If the active flag is not set, the status will be set to Inactive. Calendar Calendar The calendar assigned to the resource or role. calendar If the synchronized resource is a role, the default workspace calendar is set to the calendar value for the role. The value is shown as either a percentage or units/duration depending on the user settings. If the Resource Type is Material, then units/duration are always displayed. For example, if the selected resource is one person, a reasonable value may be 8 hours (units) per day (duration). In this case, the Max Units/Time would be 8.00h/d, or 8 hours of work per day, which is represented as 100%. Limits Limit fields specify constraints on the maximum amount of working units that may be assigned to resources and roles. In this case, the Max Units/Time would be 8.00h/d, or 8 hours of work per day. Similarly, if the selected resource is a department with 5 people, then the Max Units/Time may be 40.00h/d. Valid values are Physical, Duration, and Units. Type The type of activity. Valid values are Activity Dependent, Resource Dependent, Level of Effort, Start Milestone, and Finish Milestone. Duration Type Determines how remaining duration, units, and units/time are calculated when you update an activity that has resources assigned. The valid values are Fixed Units/Time, Fixed Units, Fixed Duration & Units, and Fixed Duration & Units/Time. Activity Status Determines the status of the activity.
