1 CasaTunes Release Notes Version: New Features Added Support for CasaTunes Web Services 2.0 CasaTunes includes a set of Soap based Web Services which can be used to create a custom application to control CasaTunes. The documentation for these services are found in the Developer section of the CasaTunes forum. Code samples and videos are available as well. These same set of Web Services were used to implement the CasaTunes iphone and ipod touch application. Added Support for the CasaTunes Command Line Utility (CasaCommand.exe) The CasaTunes command line utility, which ships as part of CasaTunes, can be used to automate control of CasaTunes from a non-gui interface. The CasaCommand application and the documentation for how to use the command line utility are included in the CasaTunes program group (off the Windows Start menu). The CasaCommand application can be run either locally or remotely. Added Support for the Russound MCA-C5 and ACA- E5 (and built-in tuners) CasaTunes now supports the Russound MCA-C5 and ACA-E5 AV controllers, including the built-in Russound tuners. HOWEVER, there is currently limited support for the Russound keypads. Updated CasaTunes look to match the new CasaTunes logo All the CasaTunes applications, components and UI s have been updated to match the new CasaTunes logo. Added support for increasing and/or decreasing the volume in the CasaTunes Serial Protocol The CasaTunes Serial Protocol has been extended to add support for increasing and/or decreasing the volume for a zone. Previous volume control support was limited to provide an absolute value. Added support for Repeat Once Only (Currently this is only available in the iphone App) CasaTunes now support Repeat None, Repeat Once Only and Repeat Forever

2 Added support for Queue and Play Now (Currently this is only available in the iphone App) CasaTunes now supports Play Now, Add To Queue, and Add To Queue and Play Now Added CasaTunes to Windows Media Center 7 menus Bug Fixes Speaker Pairs 2 & 3 swapped Corrected an issue with the Rear Speaker Pair and the Center/LFE speaker pair being swapped in the Setup application Changed CasaTunesSync to add Everyone to the CasaMusic share Creation of the CasaMusic share for CasaTunesSync for itunes on Windows has been changed to add the group Everyone to the list of users allowed to sync with the CasaMusic share CasaTunesSync will now skip itunes DRM protected files When synchronizing your music using CasaTunesSync for itunes on Windows, the sync application will skip copying any itunes DRM protected music files. The number of files skipped are displayed in the sync summary window Changed the shortcut icon for CasaTunes on the desktop The icon for the CasaTunes URL based shortcut has been updated to match the CasaTunes application icons Changed the name of My ipod to the users name for the ipod CasaTunes now uses the name of the ipod, rather than the generic My ipod name as the name of the ipod library.

3 Fixed issue with the CasaTunes serial protocol using the incorrect StopBits enumeration value There was an issue with the CasaTunes Serial Protocol faulting when used with OneStopBit. This has now been corrected. CasaTunes will now always rebuild the album cover cache when the service is restarted Changed CasaTunes to always use the computer name (rather than localhost) and to automatically track when the computer name is changed Fixed issue with Russound controllers that respond differently to the AllZonesOn and Off commands Fixed installation issue that resulted when the computer date & time and the Amazon AWS time clocks, when adjusted for the various time zones, differed by more than 15 minutes This issue resulted in the CasaTunes installation application hanging when trying to download CasaTunes Updated messages on WindowsXP installation to refer to the.net 3.5 SP1 Fixed an issue that occurred when a Russound ipod dock was used Changed WMP attributes used to fix a hanging issue

4 Fixed an issue with serial numbers not being added correctly to the activation database Changed the NuvoNet keypad handler to not automatically exit the menus when an individual song was selected Fixed an issue when CasaTunes starts up and automatically starts playing music even though all zones are off When a source finishes playing a list of songs, and the source is not set to repeat playing the list of songs, the songs are removed from the queue Prioritized CasaTunes XL to mute zones on service shutdown Removed QTPlayer from build Fixed issue with CasaTunes XL Firmware update utility which was not displaying the correct list of firmware updates Added support for installing CasaTunes from a relative path
