5 1 OVERVIEW The Givex driver supports processing credit and gift cards over dialup and high speed IP connections. To enable the Givex driver, configuration in Squirrel Driver Configuration and Squirrel Back Office is required. 2 TO CONFIGURE THE GIVEX DRIVER: 1. Copy the three Givex driver files (Givex.cmp, Givex.scr, and Givex.inf) to the C:\Squirrel\Program\Drivers directory. 2. Navigate to Start > Run. 3. In the Open field, enter drvcfg. 4. The Driver Configuration window appears. Select Credit Card Drivers and press Enter. 5. Select Givex and press Enter. 6. The Givex driver configuration window appears. Configure the following: a. Under Givex Gift Certificate Configuration, enter the User ID and User Password supplied by Givex. These fields are required. b. Set the Send Operator ID field to Y. c. The Disable Tip field is set to N by default. If this setting is set to N, the driver sends a pre authorization during redemption and a post authorization after a tip is entered to finalize the transaction. If this setting is set to Y, the driver issues a regular redemption (one-step process) during authorization and finalizes the transaction. The Prompt for Tip at Settlement checkbox in Squirrel Professional 6.0 and the Departments in which to prompt for tip grid in Squirrel Professional 7.0+ must be set accordingly. See the To Add Givex Gift Cards in Payment Setup and Credit Card Setup section for more details. d. Under Primary Communication Configuration, set the Connection Type as follows: i. 6 iii. I: high-speed connection using a TCP/IP connection e. For a dialup connection, set the Connection Timeout to 45 or higher. f. For a dialup connection using a USRobotics V.92 56k Fax Modem, set the Modem Init String to &K0&M0&N3&B0X7M1. This sets the Baud Rate to g. Set the Phone/IP field as follows: i. For a dialup connection, enter the Givex phone number. ii. For a high-speed IP connection: 1. If you are located in the U.S., enter : If you are located in Canada, enter : h. Under Backup Communication Configuration, enter the same information as entered under Primary Communication Configuration, excepting the Phone/IP field if you are using a high-speed IP connection: i. If you are located in the U.S., enter : ii. If you are located in Canada, enter : You can also set the Connection Type to D if you want to disable the backup connection. 2. Press Esc. 3. The Credit Card Drivers screen appears again, this time with a checkmark beside the Givex driver. Press Esc twice. 3 TO INSTALL THE IVRLOCK POS EXTENSION: Manual authorization codes (IVR) and check adjustments are not permitted with Givex gift cards. For details, refer to the Givex Gift Card Functionality document. To block manual authorization codes and check adjustments, you must install the IVRLock POS extension. 1. In Squirrel Back Office, navigate to Security & Utilities > Extensions > POS Extensions. 2. In the sqposextension dialog, select All Terminals from the Terminal Name dropdown menu. 3. Under Available Extensions, click IVRLock, then click the button. 4. Click OK. 4 CONFIGURING GIVEX GIFT CARDS IN SQUIRREL BACK OFFICE 4.1 To Add Givex Gift Cards in Payment Setup and Credit Card Setup: 1. In Squirrel Back Office, navigate to Advanced Setup > Payments > Payment Setup. Squirrel Professional 6.0+ Givex Gift Card Setup Guide November 7, 2016 pg2

7 2. Click the New Record button. 3. In the Payment Name field, enter GC RDM. This is for gift card redemption. 4. From the Payment Type dropdown menu, select CREDIT CARD. 5. Select the Opens Cash Drawer checkbox if the cash drawer should open when a gift card is redeemed. 6. If you set the Disable Tip field to N in Driver Configuration, do one of the following: a. If you are using Squirrel Professional 6.0, select the Prompt for Tip at Settlement checkbox. b. If you are using Squirrel Professional 7.0+, select the desired departments under Departments in which to prompt for tip. If you set the Disable Tip field to Y in Driver configuration, do not select the Prompt for Tip at Settlement checkbox (Squirrel Professional 6.0) or select departments in which to prompt for tip (Squirrel Professional 7.0+). See the To Configure the Givex Driver section for more details. 7. Repeat steps 2-6 to create the GC SLD payment. This is for funding gift cards. 8. Click the New Record button. 9. In the Payment Name field, enter GC ADJUST. This is used to make adjustments to improperly funded gift cards. 10. From the Payment Type dropdown menu, select PAID IN. 11. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for GC ADJUST. 12. In Squirrel Back Office, navigate to Advanced Setup > Payments > Credit Card Setup. 13. From the This Record dropdown menu, select GC RDM. 8 14. Under Credit Card Setup, select the Authorize, Post, Gift Card, and IVR checkboxes. 15. From the Credit Card Type dropdown menu, select CARDTYPE Under Set Credit Card Range, set the LOW, HIGH, and LENGTH fields as provided by Givex. 17. Repeat steps for GC SLD. In addition, select the For Sale checkbox and select CARDTYPE 12 instead of CARDTYPE 11. NOTE: Gift card transactions do not need to be posted since authorizations are done in real time. An npcfpost driver is not necessary. The Givex payment is set to authorize and post and will simply change the transaction from Authorized to At Network during posting. 4.2 To Add Gift Card Functions to Security Groups: 1. In Squirrel Back Office, navigate to Daily Setup > Employee > Security Groups. 2. From the This Record dropdown menu, select the desired security group. 3. Under Select Functions for Each POS Tab for this Security Group, select Payment. 4. Double-click the following functions: a. BALINQ: send inquiries regarding gift card balances. b. CASHOUT GIFTCARD: zero out the gift card. c. FUNDACT: add money to the gift card. d. VOUCHER: turn the gift card voucher on and off. 5. Repeat this process for each security group that will redeem and fund gift cards. 4.3 To Configure the Gift Card Function Buttons: To save space in the function area, it is recommended that you add the function buttons to a Gift Cards popup on the Payment tab. 9 1. In Squirrel Back Office, navigate to Daily Setup > Screen Setup > Point of Sale Screen Setup. 2. From the This Record dropdown menu, select the desired department. 3. Click the Payment tab. 4. Double-click an empty space in the function button area. 5. From the Reference Name dropdown menu, select <POPUP>. 6. In the P.O.S. Name field, type Gift Cards. 7. Under Select Image, select the desired color for the function button. 8. Click OK. 9. Double-click an empty space in the Gift Cards popup dialog. 10. From the Reference Name dropdown menu, select BALINQ. 11. Under Select Image, select the desired color for the function button. 12. Click OK. 13. Repeat steps 9-12 for the CASHOUT, FUNDACT, GC RDM, GC ADJUST, and VOUCHER functions. The VOUCHER function button is optional. 10 NOTE: The funding payment GC SLD is not required on the Payment tab. It works in conjunction with the FUNDACT button and is automatically selected when a gift card is swiped for funding. 14.
