1 Important Safety Information Read and keep these instructions Failure to heed the following warnings could result in an accident or collision resulting in serious injury or death When installing the unit in a vehicle, place the unit so that it does not obstruct the driver s view of the road or interfere with vehicle operating controls. This GPS unit is designed to provide you with route suggestions. It does not reflect road closures or road conditions, traffic congestion, weather conditions, or other factors that may affect safety or timing while driving. Always operate the vehicle in a safe manner. Do not become distracted by the unit while driving. The directions provided by the navigation unit are not guaranteed to be accurate in every situation. Before following suggestions from the unit, use your best judgment regarding the safety and legality of any action you take with your vehicle. Use this GPS unit only as a navigational aid. Do not attempt to use the unit for any purpose requiring precise measurement of direction, distance, location, or topography. This product should not be used to determine ground proximity for aircraft navigation. Do not access the GPS functions while driving. Pull over in a safe and legal manner before changing settings, entering destinations, or to access any other operational functions. Never store your GPS in temperatures less than -5 F or greater than 120 F. This unit contains a non-user-replaceable lithium-ion battery. Do not dispose of your GPS by fire or with hazardous or flammable materials. Contact your local waste disposal department for information regarding proper disposal of lithium-ion batteries. When in a car, do not mount your GPS on or near an air bag. If the air bag is deployed, you may be serious injured. Only use a power cord provided by NavsGO. Use of products provided by other suppliers may void the warranty. Caution: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove cover or back. No user serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel. Do not use harsh chemicals (such as alcohol, benzene, thinners. etc.) or detergents to clean your GPS. This could damage the unit or cause a fire. Do not drop, strike, or shake your GPS severely. It may harm the internal electronics of the unit. Warning: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or damage, do not expose this product to rain or moisture. Do not use your GPS in high explosive areas as the unit may generate sparks. Do not handle the GPS with wet hands while it is being charged. It may cause an electric shock or seriously damage your GPS. Spilled beverages are a common problem in moving vehicles. Do not locate liquid containers, or items that can accumulate condensation suck as cold beverages, in a position where liquid can spill or drip on the GPS device. Only use attachments / accessories specified by the manufacturer. Unplug this device during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way. Suck as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. 1
2 Caution: Dashboard temperatures can reach 180 F in a closed vehicle! To prevent the GPS from being damaged by excess heat, always remove your GPS unit from the dash area when the car is parked. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. Increase the separation between the equipment and the receiver. Connect the equipment into and outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/tv technician for help. CAUTION: Underwirters Laboratories Inc. 4 1.0 Install the mounting bracket A suction cup mount is provided for attaching the GPS unit to the windshield. Assemble the bracket and cradle as shown below and then attach the GPS to the cradle. Fig 1 Fig 2 1. Fig. 1 Slide the mount cradle onto the end of the mount bracket. Push forcibly until it locks into place. 2. Fig. 2 Set the bottom edge of the GPS unit onto the mount cradle. Then push the upper tab of the mount cradle towards the GPS body to snap the tab into the back of the body. To remove the unit, gently pull the upper tab on the mount cradle away from the GPS body. 3. Raise the suction cup lever (see Arrow #2), press the suction cup to the windshield (see Arrow #1), then press down on the suction cup lever to secure the bracket to windshield. 4. Lastly, rotate the cradle to adjust the GPS unit to proper position. Note: 1. Keep the suction cup and the interior of the windshield clean to ensure good adhesion. 2. Adjust suction cup position to enable the cradle to get in touch with dash, lay the unit on surface of dash, to keep the GPS unit more stable. 2.0 General features 2.1 Charge the device 1. Charge the device with AC adapter. AC adapter accept V AV input and 5V, 1.5A DC output. 4
5 2. Charge the device with car cigarette lighter adapter. Car cigarette lighter adapter accept 12 ~24V DC input and 5V, 1.5A DC output. 2.2 Power on / off Power on Make sure the device is fully charged or connect to adaptor. Press the power button Power off on the top of device to power on Sleep off: push and hold button for 1 second, the device will switch into sleep mode, this will temporary shut down the screen, when you press power button again, the device will switch back to previous screen Power off: push and hold button for 3 second, this will totally shut down the device. 2.3 Touch pen The touch pen is attached at back side of the cradle, pull out to use. 1. Single tap : Single tap the screen with the touch pen 2. Double click: Double click the screen with the touch pen. 3. Drawing: one point, hold and move the touch pen on the screen. 2.4 Micro SD card The Micro SD card contains navigation software, maps data, and you can store media files into it. Please insert the card correctly (SD card label face upward when insert into device). important Please do not take out the SD card when navigating or running other functions. 2.5 Reset the system If the system doesn t work, use touch pen to push the reset hole on backside of the device. Important The unsaved data will be lost when you reset the system. 3.0 General functions 5

Volume Reduce Increase Screen Sound Previous Next Volume level After finish, tap 4.2 Backlight Settings Adjust device backlight and power saver options settings. to enter Backlight Settings. Backlight Reduce Increase Auto OFF Previous Next Backlight level bar 7
8 Power saver options: There're 6 options: Always On, 3 min, 2 min, 1 min, 30 seconds, 10 seconds. Select "Always ON", device will never shut off backlight; select the rest time interval, device will shut off backlight after no touching the screen for corresponding time. After finish, tap 4.3 FM This functions enable all sounds being transferred from device to car speaker through FM radio. NOTE1 Car cigarette lighter adapter must be plugged in the device when activate this function (adapter power cord is used as transmitting antenna). NOTE2 Device speaker will be muted after activating this function. to enter FM Setting. Choose to activate FM transmitting function. Set one frequency in your car FM radio. Note Same frequency with any existing broadcasting channels is not allowed. Use or to set same frequency in the device. 4.4 Navi Path Navigation software path setup. Note When Navigation software not found message pop up (mostly happen after micro SD card is taken out and put in again), Navi Path need to be reset. to enter Navi Path Setting. Choose to activate auto entering GPS mode when startup 8
9 to enter Navigation Software List. to enter into next level. to open igo8 folder. to set the path. 4.5 Date Time Settings Device date, time and time zone settings. to enter Date Time Settings. 9
10 Previous Next After finish, tap then select to save and exit. 4.6 Screen Calibration Screen calibration will help to match the position you tap in the screen and the position system recognize. to enter Calibration. to enter into next interface. Use the touch pen to tap the center of cross cursor, the cursor will continues to move, repeat the tapping unit OK appear, tap the OK to finish and exit. 4.7 Language Settings Operation system language settings. NOTE This language settings doesn't affect navigation system, two system may use same or different language. to enter Language Settings. 10
11 to select the language, tap 4.8 Restore Set Restore device to default settings. then to restore system to default settings. If don't want to change current settings, tap 4.9 GPS Info Shows GPS information and refresh GPS reception. to enter GPS Information. The bar shows GPS reception status, if don't satisfy current status, tap to refresh System Info Shows operation system information. to enter System Information. 11
12 4.11 USB to enter USB Setting Auto start NOTE This function is active when external power supply is connected or disconnected. to enter Auto start. Choose disconnected. to activate auto turn on or off when external power supply is connected or 4.13 Wince to enter Windows CE. 12
13 5.0 Bluetooth Function This function enable device to pair with cell phone, then answer calls or dial out from device. to enter Bluetooth. Choose activate Bluetooth function. 5.1 Pair with cell phone Activate cell phone Bluetooth function. NOTE Some cell phones have public display able/disable settings, choose able, otherwise cell phone won t show up when searching. to enter Pair/Connect. to enter Search for devices. 13

16 to enter SMS. to start download. 5.6 Internet surfing NOTE This function is only available with internet service cell phone. to enter DUN. to connect to cell phone internet service. to enter browser interface. to exit from browser. 6.0 Multimedia functions Multimedia functions include video player, Flash player, music player, photo browser, ebook reader. Note All multimedia files must be stored in micro SD card, it is highly recommended that all multimedia files must be stored in separate micro SD card or under corresponding folder in 16
17 original micro SD card, do not mix up with navigation software. There're two ways to transfer multimedia files from computer into micro SD card: Sync the device with computer with mini USB cable, transfer files into micro SD card through the device. Take out micro SD card, insert into computer then transfer. (SD card adapter or micro SD card reader may required for those computers without micro SD card slot) 6.1 Music player Music play supports MP3 and WAV format files. then to enter Music player. Exit Last page Next page Music folder Music file Tag the music file to enter player interface. Exit Minimize Backward Pause Stop Forward File list Time consumption Total time Volume Playing status Note shut down music player interface, the music will keep on. 17
18 6.2 Video player Music player supports ASF, AVI, WMV, 3GP, MP4 and FLV format files. then to enter Video Player. Exit Last page Next page Video folder Video file Tag the video file to enter player interface. Exit Pause Forward File list Volume Playing progress Brightness Note the picture to switch to full screen view, tap again to withdraw. 6.3 Flash player Flash player supports SWF file. then to enter Flash player. 18

22 Open Delete Run Troubleshooting Before contacting customer service, review the steps below to solve simple problems. If you still suspect something wrong with this unit, immediately turn the power off, disconnect the power connector from the unit, and contact NavsGO Customer Service. Never try to repair the unit yourself.
