4 Using the touch screen Your device s touch screen lets you easily select items or perform functions. Learn basic actions for using the touch screen. To avoid scratching the touch screen, do not tap it with sharp objects. Do not allow the touch screen to come into contact with other electrical devices. Electrostatic discharges can cause the touch screen to malfunction. Do not allow the touch screen to come into contact with liquids. The touch screen may malfunction in humid conditions or when exposed to liquids. For optimal use of the touch screen, remove device. Your touch screen has a layer that detects small electrical charges emitted by the human body. 7 Open Contol Panel Touch and swip down on clock bar to open control panel. Open Task Panel Touch and swip down on Task bar to open Task panel. Indicator icons Icons shown on the display may vary depending on your region or service provider. To lock the touch screen and the keys manually, press the Power key. To unlock them, turn on the screen by pressing the Power key, tap on Lock on the screen, and then 11 12
8 Access Applications Launch applications and take full advantage of features on your device. You can reorganise the application list to match your preferences, or download applications from the Internet to enhance your device s functionality. 1 On the Home screen, select to access the application list. 2 Scroll left or right to another screen. 3 Select an application. 4 Select to return to the previous screen. Select to return to the Home screen. You can add an application shortcut to the Home screen by tapping and holding an icon in the application list. If you rotate the device while using some features, the interface will rotate as well. To prevent the interface from rotating, select Settings Display Auto-rotate screen. Launching multiple applications Your device allows you to multitask by running multiple applications at the same time. To launch multiple applications, select while using an application. Then select another application to launch from the Home screen. Battery Management Please ensure to charge your device at least once a month. When your battery is low, the device will prompt a warning tone and display a low battery message, the battery level shown on the battery icon will appear low or empty. 9 Customize your device Settings Click setting icon to enter the setting interface Wi-Fi It is for setting wireless device and turning it ON/OFF. Sound Includes options for setting volume, alert tones, default notifications and etc. Display Includes options for setting brightness, wallpaper, auto-rotate screen, sleep and front size. HDMI To set HDMI turn ON/OFF, resolution, screen size and etc. Bluetooth It is for setting Bluetooth device and turning it ON/OFF. Storage Iis for checking the memory capacity and memory usage status. Battery It is for checking battery usage 15 16
10 Screenshot Setting Can show and hide screenshot button in the status bar. To set Screenshot locaiton, delay time and Security Used for setting screen lock, owner info, encrypt tablet information and etc. Language and Input Used for setting language, default language, personal dictionary and etc. Backup & reset Used for restoring factory setting and etc. Date and Time : Used for setting date and time. Accessibility : It s for setting touch and hold delay and etc. Developer options : It is for setting USB debugging, stay awake and etc. About Tablet : It shows some information about tablet. Apps Includes options for application managment. Upgrade When you need to upgrade your device s Firmware please ensure to close the USB conneciton. Accounts and Synchronization Includes options for adding, deleting accounts and synchronization. Location & Security Includes options for setting Google s location service and Google search 17 18
11 Tools and Applications Gmail Learn to send or view messages via the GMail webmail service. Sending an message 1 In the application list, select Gmail. 2 address Select 6 To send the message, select SEND. the message will be held in the message thread until you are online and inside your service area. Viewing an message 1 In the application list, select Gmail. 2 Select to update the message list. 3 Select an message. From the message view, use the following options: To move to the next or previous message, scroll right or left. To reply to the message, select. To reply to the message and include all recipients, select. To forward the message to other people, select. To add the message to the favourites list, select. To view an attachment, select VIEW. To save it to your device, select SAVE. To search for a message, select. To archive the message, select. To delete the message, select Delete. To add a label to the message, select Change labels. To mark the message as unread, select Mark unread. To mark the message as important, select Mark important. To mark the message as unimportant, select Mark as not important
12 To hide the message, select Mute. To view hidden messages, select All mail from the label list. To add the message to the spam list, select Report spam. To update the message list, select Refresh. To customise the settings for each label, select Manage labels. To change the settings, select Settings. Learn to send or view messages via your personal or company account. Using this feature may be subjected to additional fees depending on your service provider and subscription. Setting up an account 1 In the application list, select . 2 Enter your address and password. 3 Select Next. To save the addresses of the recipients to the phonebook as a group of contacts, select Save as group. To change the settings, select Settings. Wi-Fi Direct Learn to use the Wi-Fi Direct feature to connect two devices via Wi-Fi without requiring an AP. Connect your device to another device 1 In the application list, select Settings More...
