6 GETTING STARTED The SLTough 6 can be used right out of the package, please test the water seal prior to exposing to liquids. 1. Remove any case or accessory that may be on or connected to your iphone, including polyurethane and protective screen films. These protective films can cause difficulty in removing the phone from the case. 2. Release the 2 side locks on the left and right side of the case. Rotate away from the case. 3. Grasp the lanyard loop at the bottom of the SLTough and pull upwards to release the back panel from the front. 4. Insert the iphone 6/6S into the case 5. IMPORTANT! Make sure the mute knob engages the mute button on the phone. 6. Re-seal the back cover to the front and engage the 2 side lock latches. Your iphone is now protected and sealed. 6

7 CHARGING IPHONE 1. Grasp the charging port cover and open the cover door. 2. Insert the lightning connector into the iphone 6/6S and then connect the USB end into the USB port on your computer or USB Charger connected to a power source. WATERPROOF TESTING Your SLTough 6 case is IP 68 rated and is designed for submerging in water down to 2 meters (6.6 ) in depth for up to 30 minutes. Keep the O ring gasket seal free from debris and sand to prevent any leakage. * Use recommended APPLE OEM lightning connector. 7

Submerge in 1 foot of water for 30 minutes and check inside to make sure all locks and seals are water tight. Do not install your iphone during water test. If your case has a major impact, inspect the case and confirm all seals are in place, retest for waterproofing before water use. 8

9 TAKING IMAGES / VIDEOS UNDERWATER 1. The SLTough 6 is meant for water sports enthusiasts, and your everyday mishaps. While the touch screen is not responsive underwater, you can still capture photos and video with your iphone. 2. Use the volume shutter button to snap photos in and out of water or to begin/end recording video. Wipe any moisture away to use the screen again or to switch modes. 3. 10 USING HEADPHONES & BLUETOOTH The SLTough 6 is compatible with Bluetooth, and headphones with the waterproof audio-jack adapter. 1. To connect headphones, unscrew the audio plug, and connect the audio jack adapter. 2. Rotate waterproof audio jack adapter into the audio port clockwise. Now attach your favorite headphones. 3. To use your audio Bluetooth device, refer to its user guide to pair with the iphone 6/6S. 10

11 USING THE TOUCH ID To use the Touch ID place the iphone in the SLTough and follow the programming instructions for the Touch ID to work properly For added security, Snow Lizard Products recommends using the quick release loop and lanyard included with the SLTough. This will prevent loss and will keep the SLTough handy while loosely worn around the neck. 11
