Highly Secure Translation Editor secure translation editor thebigword Highly Secure Translation Editor (HSTE) is the only solution to protect your content throughout every stage of the translation process. thebigword.com
Don t take risks with your content... 81% of large organisations had a security breach in the last year 2014 Information Security Breaches Survey Department for Business, Innovation & Skills thebigword will protect your content at every stage of the translation process, using the revolutionary Highly Secure Translation Editor (HSTE). This Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tool works seamlessly with thebigword Translation Management System to keep your proprietary information safe from harm.... Information security is a concern for all of us. As digital data travels around our extensive computer networks and across the internet, protecting valuable content is getting much more difficult. A security breach can come from inside or outside of your organisation, inadvertently or maliciously targeted. Consider your proprietary information, what content do you hold that could be misused in the wrong hands? Is it customer data? Employee data? An unreleased product or service? When you submit your content for translation, a journey begins. Your files are moved around the necessary stages of your translation workflow. Whilst the handling of your proprietary information becomes the responsibility of the Language Service Provider, there is a part of the translation workflow that no other Language Service With the widely used traditional approach to translation, after a job is submitted the Language Service Provider selects a linguist to work on the translation. In this scenario client files are downloaded by the linguist to their own computer. Once files exist on an unsecured computer, control over their permanent deletion is lost.
How it Works... thebigword provides the most secure environment of any Language Service Provider.... How the Highly Secure Translation Editor protects your content Once your files are securely held within thebigword Translation Management System, the linguist is notified of the translation project waiting for them. They login to thebigword TMS from their computer to accept the translation project. This will provide a link to open the files within the HSTE. For additional security the linguist will login again to activate HSTE. HSTE transfers the files to the linguist over an encrypted connection; if interception was to occur during transfer it would render the content unreadable. For the translation the files are stored on the linguist s computer in an encrypted format. Each file has a unique encryption key mitigating risk of theft or unauthorised exposure of your content. Whilst the translation is carried out the linguist can work productively within the secure confines of the HSTE. Further protection is achieved through the deliberate restriction of features such as save, copy and paste which prevents content being moved from the editor and saved in unprotected locations. Your Translation Memory and terminology assets are also secured within HSTE. The linguist can access this information only within the HSTE environment. This ensures new errors cannot be introduced to the translation as a result of an unauthorised use of a Translation Memory. On completion of the translation, the files are encrypted once more for transfer and a secure deletion process removes all trace of the content from the linguist s computer. These security measures ensure your proprietary information is not at any risk when you send your files for translation. Your Content thebigword Translation Management System Linguist Incorporate the Highly Secure Translation Editor into your translation process Keep your content safe... thebigwordtms@thebigword.com
How it Works... Seven simple steps to get started Your files are transferred to thebigword Translation Management System. 02 Your content will be reviewed and a linguist selected. 03 The linguist will login to thebigword Translation Management System to accept the job. 04 The linguist will verify their login details once more to open HSTE. 05 Files are transferred to the linguist over an encrypted connection. The files will each have a unique encryption key. 06 When the translation is complete a secure deletion process will remove all trace of the content from the linguist s computer. 07 Files are transferred once again over an encrypted connection. Incorporate the Highly Secure Translation Editor into your translation process Keep your content safe... thebigwordtms@thebigword.com
Translation Editor unique features Unique file encryption for your proprietary information rendering content unreadable in the event of a security breach. Feature restriction to prevent the movement of your content from outside of the secure editor and saved to local computers.
