4 NEMA 4, 4X, 12 SPECIFICATIONS ikey products meet or exceed the following specifications: CE FM FCC Class 15, Part B UL-1950 RoHS NEMA The National Electronic Manufacturers Association s (NEMA) classifications for electrical products provide a convenient way to determine a product s level of harsh environment protection. When properly installed, all ikey products meet specifications from between NEMA 12 and NEMA 4X. Below are the basics of NEMA specifications as they apply to industrial peripherals. NEMA 12 NEMA 12 products are designed for indoor use, and to provide protection against dripping and light splashing of liquids, as well as falling dirt, circulating dust, lint, and fibers. NEMA 4 NEMA 4 certified products are designed for either indoor or outdoor use, and provide protection against falling dirt, rain, sleet, snow, windblown dust, splashing water, and hose-directed water. NEMA 4 products will also remain undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure.
