Intel introduces the Intel Atom processor N2000 and D2000 series-based platform for Embedded This new platform integrates enhanced graphic and performance to power efficient solutions for all of the connected devices you don t see, but depend on every day. Based on Intel s leading-edge 32nm process technology, the platform improvements are wide ranging and include: New capabilities including Intel Rapid Start technology, Intel Smart Connect Technology, Intel Wireless Display, and Intel Boot Loader Development Kit A dedicated media engine for full 1080p HD playback and additional digital display options including LVDS, HDMI and DP Low power consumption at dual core performance for power efficient devices with up to 10 hours of battery life on portable devices The Intel Atom processor N2000 and D2000 series-based platform will support a wide variety of embedded operating systems including Microsoft Windows* Embedded Standard 7, Microsoft Windows* XP/XPe, Microsoft Embedded Compact 7 and Yocto 3

7 The Healthcare industry is craving Intelligent Systems that run on minimal power without comprising performance Hospitals, which account for four percent of all energy consumed in the U.S., can achieve a 60 percent reduction in energy utility use by redesigning the way they use energy, which will translate into savings of about $730,000 annually for a newly constructed, code-compliant hospital, according to a study released at the CleanMed conference Health care organizations in the U.S. spend more than $6.5 billion annually on energy costs, and that figure is rising, according to the website for Energy Star, a joint program of the federal Department of Energy and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 7

10 Various Design Wins We chose the Intel Atom D2700 processor because it offers great performance along with lower power consumption. The enhanced performance per watt helped us design the P1230 to withstand high transaction volume and the continuous operation necessary in many retail outlets today. Also, the dual-independent display capability enables one touch-screen application for check-out while a second screen runs a high definition video to encourage additional purchases. The new features in the Intel Atom processor N2000 and D2000 series provides fast response time for connected devices. Our latest Center M boards will be used in digital signs throughout China which means signs can respond quickly for customer interaction at any time of the day or night.
