APS-100 ASSET PORTAL SOLUTION Originally designed as an LTO data cartridge RFID tracking system utilizing Volser RFID enabled labels, the APS-100 was a collaboration with Harloff (transport case

The APS-100 provides the ability to accurately read a large volume of data cartridges in a locked transport case as they pass in or out of a secured area without stopping or opening the case.

4 APS-100 ASSET PORTAL SOLUTION Originally designed as an LTO data cartridge RFID tracking system utilizing Volser RFID enabled labels, the APS-100 was a collaboration with Harloff (transport case manufacturer), Dataspan (data tape and label supplier), and EnaSys (asset management software provider). The APS-100 provides the ability to accurately read a large volume of data cartridges in a locked transport case as they pass in or out of a secured area without stopping or opening the case. Previously, this was not achievable using standard RFID readers or portals. The APS-100 solution is not limited to tracking data cartridges. The APS-100 is a very high performance portal and when utilized with EnaSys Asset Management software, can track many different assets as well as personnel. The system can be configured to provide shipping and receiving notices and verification, chain of custody tracking, and guard against unauthorized asset movement. The APS-100 uses an array of low cost, low profile antennas configured to provide high performance at all tag orientations. This system is designed for indoor data center applications. This system was evaluated and refined at the European EPC Competence Center and won the RFID performance trials at Metro AG. This system design has been implemented in hundreds of sites across Europe. 6 OMS-100 OVERHEAD MONITORING SOLUTION The OMS-100 Overhead Monitoring Solution is an alternative solution to the typical entrance pedestals found in many retail establishments. This solution allows unobtrusive overhead monitoring of wide, open entrances that are becoming popular in modern malls and store fronts. Since many premium malls no longer allow pedestals, the OMS-100 allows full monitoring of entrances while still allowing the valuable display space by the store entrance to be fully utilized for displaying tagged items in the area without false alarming. The OMS-100 uses motion and presence sensors along with RFID reads to determine motion of objects in the monitored area. This reduces false alarming from items carried by people passing by, but not through, the entrance or from items in static displays close to doors and openings. The system can also be installed with optional phased array antennas to further isolate items moving out of the store. A remote console is available in a WiFi enabled tablet for mobile system control and monitoring. The Firefly Appliance Architecture allows stand-alone or fully networked operation. The OMS-100 directly connects to inventory and reordering systems and can also communicate with mobile devices such as tablets or phones. The system uses a proprietary technology to allow the addition of RFID to existing EAS systems without changing existing procedures, alarming, or servicing. In most cases, the upgrade is unnoticeable to customers or staff. The PRS-100 installs in a matter of minutes and consists of a flexible sleeve that slides over the existing pedestal. All reader components and antennas are embedded in the flexible sleeve that can also be printed with targeted advertising. In addition to RFID, the PRS-100 adds remote maintenance and reporting to legacy systems, as well as providing all the additional features available with RFID such as itemizing loss and interconnecting with inventory and reordering systems. With the PRS-100, you can continue using traditional EAS tags.
