2 HISTORY SCS Concept sarl was founded in France in 2005, as a distribution company in the industrial sector. In early 2007 SCS became distributor for Europe of M.Shimizu, a Brazilian company, for a torque wrench-pda system with wireless communication. Following the interest of the market, combined with the different needs of European customers, SCS Concept decided to develop the first electronic Torque/Angle wrench; as a consequence of this decision, SCS opened a R&D department in Italy (SCS Concept Italia Srl). In 2007 SCS started a partnership with the Germany company Q- Direct GmbH & Co.KG. Q-direct obtained the DKD accreditation (today DAkkS) according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 for a series of mobile laboratories for measure torque. One of these laboratories was installed at SCS. The flexibility and the important investments in research allowed SCS to develop in a short time a range of innovative products for measurement and control in tightening processes. Since 2009, SCS Concept has become the supplier of electronic Torque/Angle wrenches for quality control and production, data collectors, test benches and software of the major automotive manufacturers worldwide. 2

12 HIGH TORQUE INSTRUMENTS AND SOLUTIONS FOT HIGH TORQUE TEST Our SCS transducers can be used to determinate the minimum torque to open and close the valve. DataTouch3 is connected to the transducer and displays the max torque and the rotation of the stem (angle). DataTouch3 allows to analyze the Torque\Time and Torque\Angle curves in the phases of opening and closing of valves. Thanks to SCS F3 Lab explorer software, it is possible to send curves and results to a pc. 12

13 SOFTWARES Freedom 3 Lab Explorer Software Freedom 3 Lab Explorer is a SCS software able to download data,results and curves from the main SCS products (see the list above), edit reports, export data to Excel and display single or multi-curves graphs. 13

14 SOFTWARES Your Quality Process Manager Software designed to manage the quality control of a production line, the management of all the tools (supplier, models, technical specifications) and the related quality control tests (Cm\Cmk and X\R charts). For a better overview of the complete production process, SQnet+ allows the management of all operations, with the associated tools and of the process control (Residual torque). The system provides a complete situation of Torque & Angle tests on the tools, compared to the process control on the related joint. 14

15 SOFTWARES The above picture shows the working way of VPG+: Through a special synchronization mode the system is able to work even if the network is not always available. From one PC it is possible to configure the complete production line and to perform the synchronization of unlimited number of stations with a SINGLE CLICK. When the station receives the cycle start, selects and enables the tool to perform the sequence. After each tightening the tool sends back the results to the station. If the network is available the station will send immediately the result to the network database, If the network for any reason is not available, the station will keep locally the results until the network connection is restored. This guarantees no data lost and no production interruptions. Guide your production VPG+ is designed to assist operators during the assembly and rework processes. Operators are driven through the different tightening sequences by VPG+. The software selects automatically the correct tightening program and the associated tool for the operation, displays the necessary instructions for the operator and the picture of the operations with their status (to be tightened, OK and NOK). 15

SCS Concept has started a cooperation with German company Q-Direct GmbH & Co. KG, which has realized a series of mobile laboratories accredited DAkkS according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 for the magnitudes of torque and angle. The mobile laboratory allows the customer to eliminate the time of immobilization of the instruments and the costs of bureaucratic management that revolves around the certification. Even the elimination of shipping and packaging will lead to substantial savings. Of course you can also send the tools at our laboratory. Our mobility will make you save time and money. 18 TOOLS SERVICE Repairs of measurment products and tightening products : Thanks to its experience in measurment and tightening products, SCS Concept is able to make the maintenance of many instruments or production tools in many brands like : Desoutter/Bosch/Makita/AMT/CooperTools/Stanley/Fein/IngersollRand When we receive the tools : We identify the product in our maintenance database, in order to be able in the future, the complete history of the maintenance we make on your products (an automatic is sent to inform you that your product has been received in our service and the diagnostic will start) In cooperation with you, we create in the same time a complete technical documentation of the model if not yet existing in our database. We make some tests of the product, before dismounting it, taking into consideration the behavior of the product during the tests and all information given by you regarding the problem of this tool. We dismount the product, identify the problem and prepare if necessary a list of spare parts that have to be replaced on the tool. An offer is sent to you for the spare parts and time of work, giving you also explaination about the problem. When we receive your order, an automatic inform you that the repair start. For production tools, we make a complete cm/cmk of the tool. When the tool is repaired, we send it back to you with a complete report of repair. An automatic of shipment is also sent to you.
