4 Separation Roles EA View Designer Provides a sample view as a visual specification (e.g. PowerPoint). Provides a (vendor-specific) sample data file (using a JSON data dump view template that only includes the necessary types, entities and attributes). Provides an existing EA View Template (e.g EA View Generator or EA repository tools ) Repository Connector Developer Documents and implements an EA repository connector (EAR) that provides the EAR-REST API which gives read-only access to the specific types, entities, attributes and links of a given EAR Matthes Towards an EA View Template Marketplace sebis 4

5 Separation Roles Web Developer Creates an EA View Template based on the specification of the EA View, the sample data and the EAR REST-API Does not need to know the details of EA Repository or how make the connection with it Technically speaking, the view template is a ZIP file containing HTML, CSS, JavaScript and potentially more files (images, documentation, fonts, libraries) EA Stakeholder Uses the browser to trigger the generation of his concrete EA View Template using the EA View Generator.
