2 New Features for Bria 2.2 Client Features Approximately 65% improvement in startup time. Support for XMPP, which means you can create an account with an XMPP service provider and send IMs, share presence, and exchanges files with users of other clients (non-bria clients) that support XMPP. Microsoft Windows Vista is supported. However, note that if you are using an audio or video device that does not itself support Vista, then you will not be able to use Bria on Vista. Call forwarding is now supported. You can set up an account to forward incoming calls always or only when you are on another phone call. Ability to send a personal message when adding a new contact. The Call Alert shows the other party s avatar, if it is available. Xtunnels is now supported. The IM dialog includes a received while offline notification if IMs arrived for you while you were offline. This feature is available only with IMs received on an XMPP account. The Preferences - Alerts window has been redesigned to improve useability. On the Preferences - Network window, a feature has been added to let you fine-tune your network bandwidth configuration. On the Preferences - Network window, a feature has been added to let you configure the video size. Provisioning Features Ability to use macros in the advertisement URL so that ads can be targeted. Known Issues Currently, Bria does not select the best codec based on the available bandwidth and network conditions. When making an offer, it will offer all enabled codecs.
