6 Product enhancements and functional changes XSI directory support for BroadWorks platforms The SIP-DECT corporate directory functionality has been enhanced to support XSI directory on BroadWorks platforms. Beside the already supported LDAP and XML directory this 3 rd option supports the various XSI directory types (Enterprise, Group, Personal). Configuration files are supported for provisioning. MX-ONE compatibility enhancements List access improvements The Usability of the 600 DECT Phones for inquiry, transfer and conference has been improved. Directory and other call list can now be accessed directly in call state, dialing an entry will automatically put first call on hold. DT Phone interoperability improvements The MX-ONE DT Phones interoperability on SIP-DECT has been improved. Date/time information is updated by SIP-DECT and available in the call log. User name/extension number is provided and displayed in idle screen. This enables the usage of login/logout. Mitel DT390/DT690/DT692/DT413/DT423/DT43x DECT phones are supported and were validated with the current firmware version ( ). Please be aware that these phones are not compatible with the SIP-DECT enhanced DECT security feature. Dynamic User Enhancements MiVoice Business Hot-desking MiVB hot-desking will be available on MiVB Release 8.0 which is planned for fall User logout in charger, automatically As an option the user is automatically logged-out when the DECT phone is placed in the charger. This feature is useful for shared phone in shift work. Mitel 602/650 DECT Phone firmware 6.1SP20 The included Mitel 602/650 DECT Phone firmware has the following improvements: Improved stability of file system and data-base Improved RAM compatibility

7 Additional changes DHCP option 66 to provide provisioning URL As of SIP-DECT 6.2 the DHCP option 66 is used to provide the provisioning URL instead of RFP configuration file URL. This applies to SIP-DECT only as SIP-DECT with Cloud-ID does not support RFP configuration files. Alternatively the existing Option 233 can be used to provide the RFP configuration file URL. Additionally, the option 43 sub-option 1 is available for RFP configuration files. User agent string contains Cloud-ID The HTTP user agent string for provisioning requests contains the Cloud-ID (PARK in MAC address format). This applies to SIP-DECT and SIP-DECT with Cloud-ID. Examples: SIP-DECT 6.0 and 6.1: o SIP-DECT 6.0 o SIP-DECT with Cloud-ID 6.0 As of SIP-DECT 6.2: o SIP-DECT 6.0 MAC:00-1F B o SIP-DECT with Cloud-ID 6.0 MAC:00-1F B Technology changes - Exchange of XML library The XML library in the OMM used for AXI, XML terminal interface and provisioning was exchanged in SIP-DECT 6.2. This results sometimes in a stricter syntax check. Some provisioning file examples contain replacedata="1" and plaintext="1" without double quote e.g. <CreatePPUser plaintext=1 replacedata=1>. This creates an invalid XML document. As of SIP-DECT 6.2 such XML document will not be successfully processed by the SIP-DECT system. Essential installation and upgrade information for SIP-DECT 6.2 The SIP-DECT Version 6.2 upgrade installation was validated on top of SIP-DECT 6.0SP2 and 6.1SP1. Directory With the introduction of XSI directory support in SIP-DECT 6.2, the underlying database model for directory support in SIP-DECT has changed. To support backwards compatibility, the Directory (compatibility mode) page provides directory configuration and maintenance for existing SIP-DECT systems with LDAP or XML directory support.

8 Linux Server OMM SIP-DECT 6.2 has been tested with CentOS 6.7 and 6.8 as well as VMware ESXi 5.5 and vsphere 6.0. As of SIP-DECT 6.2 the OMM requires 4 GB RAM for the maximum configuration size of DECT Phone / users and 4096 base station. Further installation and upgrade information The database built with this release is not backward compatible with older releases. A downgrade to an older release or release version requires a database matching the older version. A database backup is strongly recommended before upgrading the SIP-DECT software. An upgrade to 6.2 requires a restart of the entire SIP-DECT system. An update from SIP-DECT 3.0 requires an intermediate upgrade to SIP-DECT 5.0. The upgrade from releases before 3.0 requires an upgrade to 3.0. For a detailed update description, see SIP-DECT Knowledge Base: SIP-DECT System Update. SIP-DECT 5.0 introduced a new license file format and mechanism. This requires an update to 5.0 or later before importing a 5.0 license file. A license for SIP-DECT 5.0 or later cannot be imported into SIP-DECT 4.0 or previous releases. The browser used for service access must have frame support, JavaScript and cookies enabled. When upgrading or downgrading the SIP-DECT software, delete the cookies and the cache in your browser after the upgrade / downgrade and before connecting with the new OpenMobility Manager (OMM). Otherwise the OMM Web service may be locked. Product compatibility with Mitel Call Server SIP-DECT Rel. 6.2 interoperability is provided with the following Mitel PBX/Call Servers: MiVoice Office 400 MiVoice Office 400 is not compatible with SIP-DECT Rel MiVoice 5000 MiVoice 5000 is not compatible with SIP-DECT Rel MiVoice MX-ONE Interoperability is supported between MiVoice MX-ONE 6.1 SP1 and SIP-DECT 6.2. MiVoice Office 250 Interoperability is supported between MiVoice Office and SIP-DECT 6.2. MiVoice Business Interoperability is supported between MiVoice Business Rel. 8.0 and SIP-DECT 6.2 for all new features. Refer to MiVoice Business Rel. 8.0 Release Notes. Interoperability is supported between MiVoice Business Rel. 7.2 SP1 and SIP-DECT 6.2 for the existing feature set. For more information, please see the Mitel call server release notes.
