8 References SQL SERVER OVERVIEW Server Infomation General information about the Server Name, SQL and Windows Versions installed Page Life Expectancy (sec) The length of time a page remains in memory without references, i.e. how long SQL data stays in RAM. The bigger number the better. Server Physical RAM (MB) The total physical memory (RAM) on the server SQL Max Memory (MB) The Maximum Memory (RAM) SQL is allowed to use CPU Count The number of processors on the server CPU Usage per Database The total_worker_time for each cached query plan is used for the above calculations IO Usage per Database The bytes read plus the bytes written are used for the above calculations Memory/Buffer Usage per Database Adds up the rows the data pages that are currently in the SQL Server buffer pool (memory) GENERAL DATABASE INFORMATION Database Information - Backup/Restores The latest backup and restore information for the SQL databases Virtual Log File Counts The transaction log is made up of virtual log files.
