4 1 Overview Locstar Z-Wave electrical keypad door lock lever secures your home with a new level of functionality that provides security and convenience and is completely integrated with the Z-Wave system. The lock can wirelessly talk to other things in your house, such as the security system, lighting, thermostat, and entertainment system. Lock becomes the first point of contact for security and home control on any door the lock is installed. 5 Since Z-wave has adapted continues send out Security Nonce Get, Security Nonce Report and Security Message Encapsulation Command instead of send out wakeup beam every time to improve Flirs secure device communication effective from SDK , recommend include this device into controller under SDK version to ensure device working properly while CTT test or in application environment. 3 Technical Description 3.1 Secure vs no-secure The Door Lock is a security enabled Z-wave production, implements Z-Wave Application Security Layer in accordance with Z-wave protocol. The functionality and support command class is difference when included as secure or no-secure node. COMMAND_CLASS_DOOR_LOCK and COMMAND_CLASS_USER_CODE command class will not support while door lock included in no-secure controller. 3.2 Manufacture Specific Command Class Door Lock manufactures information as following: - MANUFACTURER_ID1 0x01 - MANUFACTURER_ID2 0x5E - PRODUCTIONTYPE_ID1 0x80 - PRODUCTIONTYPE_ID2 0x15 - PRODUCTION_ID1 0x00 - PRODUCTION_ID2 0x Anti-theft Command Class Please be noted that the door lock only supports Anti-theft command class version 2 due to security command data length limited and it effect Z-wave command access only while anti-theft function enabled. If door lock anti-theft function was enabled by exclude from no-secure controller improperly, it should be re-included in no-secure controller to disable anti-theft function. If door lock anti-theft function was enabled by exclude from secure controller improperly, it should be re-included in secure controller to disable anti-theft function similarly. If door lock anti-theft function was enabled by exclude from no-secure controller improperly, it supports COMMAND_CLASS_ANTITHEFT, COMMAND_CLASS_MANUFACTURER_SPECIFIC, COMMAND_CLASS_VERSION no-secure command class only :04:00 3

6 If door lock anti-theft function was enabled by exclude from secure controller improperly, it supports COMMAND_CLASS_MANUFACTURER_SPECIFIC, COMMAND_CLASS_VERSION command class only and security command support COMMAND_CLASS_ANTITHEFT only. 3.4 COMMAND_CLASS_APPLICATION_STATUS Door lock responses Application Rejected Request Command to source node while received invalid Set command. 3.5 COMMAND_CLASS_ASSOCIATION Door lock supports two(2) association groups, each group support two(2) nodes maximum. Group ID one(1) used to send out un-socialite operation and alarm reports. Group ID two(2) used to send out BASIC SET ON(0xFF) and OFF(0x00) command while vacation mode is enable and disable. 3.6 COMMAND_CLASS_CONFIGURATION Door lock reserves 255 bytes memory store space use for upper application. Upper application could access the memory by configuration command class, default setting always set to zero (0x00). 3.7 COMMAND_CLASS_DOOR_LOCK Door lock has two(2) difference relock mode, auto-relock mode (Timed Operation) and constant-unlock mode (Constant Operation). It can setting by manual or Door Lock Configuration Command. Auto-relock timeout fix in eight (8) seconds. Door lock treats constant Unsecure setting of Door Lock Operation as Unsecure with timeout while device auto-relock mode is enable. Please be noted that, since door lock takes around one(1) second to complete unlock and re-lock and configuration setting operation, it should insert a one second waiting delay before send out next Z-wave command while CTT test or application environment. 3.8 COMMAND_CLASS_NODE_NAMING Door lock report Node Name Report in ASCII with brand name and production version inform after retrieve factory default. Factory default is Locstar Ver x.xx, x is base on actually version number. 3.9 COMMAND_CLASS_SCHEDULE_ENTRY_LOCK :04:00

7 Door lock doesn t support Daylight Saving function. It will ignore DST offset of Schedule Entry Lock Time Offset Set Command. Door lock supports Duration Hour of Schedule Entry Lock Daily Repeating Set command from zero (0) to 168 (=7x24) maximum COMMAND_CLASS_USER_CODE Door lock user code fix to six(6) digits.
