6 EsyMP Multi PC Projection Fetures 6 EsyMP Multi PC Projection is softwre tht llows you to hold interctive meetings or lessons by projecting imges from network projectors. You cn use vriety of disply options for your environment. If the lnguge selected for the instlltion differs from the lnguge of the operting system being used, the screens my not disply correctly. 14 Selecting Projector Network Settings 14 To connect the projector to the computer using wired network system: Use Advnced Connection Mode. Use wireless LAN controller, if possible, to enhnce the connection stbility. Use n ccess point tht supports n. Contct your network dministrtor for help in setting up the wireless environment. If your projector supports wired LAN connection, we recommend using wired LAN connection when you connect multiple devices to the projector. Setting Up Projector to Connect in Quick Connection Mode Recommended Wireless Environment for Multi PC Projection When you connect multiple devices to projector using the Quick connection mode, we recommend limiting the number of devices to six or less to mintin the projection performnce. The number of devices tht cn connect to projector t the sme time differs depending on the wireless communiction environment. When you connect projector to wireless LAN nd connect multiple devices wirelessly using the Advnced connection mode, note the following recommendtions. Set up multiple ccess points so tht one of the ccess points cn connect up to 10 or 20 devices. See the ccess point mnul for more informtion on the mximum number of devices tht cn be connected. When you use multiple ccess points, ssign different chnnel to ech ccess point, nd use different ccess points for the projector connection nd the computer connection. To connect computer directly to the projector using wireless communiction, you need to select network settings on the computer nd the projector. b c d e Select the necessry settings to connect your computer to wireless LAN. Press the [Menu] button on the remote control or the control pnel, select the Network menu, nd select Network Configurtion. Select Wireless LAN.

Setting Up Projector to Connect in Advnced Connection Mode (Wired) To connect computer to the projector using wired LAN, you need to select network settings on the computer nd the projector. Contct your network dministrtor nd check tht DHCP is vilble under the current network environment. g Select IP settings s necessry. DHCP is vilble: Set DHCP to On.

18 Connecting to the Projector nd Projecting Imges Follow these instructions to connect the computer nd the projector over network, nd to project imges from your computer's screen using the projector. Decide how you wnt to hold your meeting. Depending on the connection method you selected, the connection procedure differs. Depending on your projector, some connection methods my not be vilble. 20 Connection Methods 20 Only one user is the modertor nd hs full control over the meeting using the modertor function. (Holding clss or lesson using the prticipnts' computer screens in n eductionl environment.) Connecting the Projector nd Computer Directly Using Wireless Communiction When your projector is set up s indicted below, you cn connect the projector nd computer directly using wireless communiction to project the computer's screen. The wireless LAN unit is instlled in the projector or the projector hs builtin wireless LAN modules. The projector's connection method is set to Quick. When you use the Prticipnt Edition of the softwre, you must connect the projector nd computer over network system. When you connect the projector nd computer directly using wireless communiction, the connection between the computer nd n ccess point is disconnected. Mke sure you turn on your computer's wireless communiction function. Press the [LAN] button or [Source Serch] button on the remote control to switch the input source to LAN. The LAN stndby screen is projected. Windows Vist nd Windows 7: Click Strt, select Progrms (or All Progrms), EPSON Projector, EsyMP Multi PC Projection, nd then click EsyMP Multi PC Projection Ver.X.XX. Windows 8 nd Windows 8.1: Select Serch on the Chrms, nd then select EsyMP Multi PC Projection Ver.X.XX. Windows 10: Select Strt, select All pps, select EPSON Projector, nd then select EsyMP Multi PC Projection. OS X: Double-click EsyMP Multi PC Projection from the Applictions folder. You cn lso crete shortcut nd use it to strt EsyMP Multi PC Projection nd to utomticlly serch for sved projectors. e Profile: Serches for the projector bsed on previously sved profile. The projector serch results re displyed. Select the projector you wnt to connect to from the Projector List, nd then select one of the following options. You wnt ll users to be ble to become prticipnts in the modertor function: Mke sure Connect s Modertor, or disble interrupt connections is not selected, nd then click Join. You re the modertor user nd you do not wnt other users to be ble to interrupt the modertor presenttion: Select Connect s Modertor, or disble interrupt connections, nd then click Join. c Select Quick Connection Mode, nd then click OK. The modertor function is vilble only for supported models nd is vilble only on the Stndrd Edition of the softwre. When one user connects s modertor, the modertor function turns on. d Serch for the projector using one of the following methods. Automtic Serch: Serches for the projector utomticlly. When the Projector Keyword is set to On or the Modertor Pssword is set in the projector settings, the keyword entry screen is displyed.

22 Connection Methods 22 f g Check the Projector Keyword displyed on the LAN stndby screen. Enter the keyword, nd then click OK. When the following dilog box is displyed, enter the pssphrse set on the projector, nd then click Connect. If you select Sve the pssphrse nd don't show this dilog box gin, the projector's SSID nd pssphrse re sved on the computer nd this dilog box is not displyed the next time you connect. You do not hve to enter the pssphrse gin. If the projector's pssphrse hs not been chnged from the defult, the following dilog box is displyed. Chnge the pssphrse from the projector's Network menu. When connection is estblished, the computer screen is projected nd the following toolbr is displyed on the computer screen. The computer screen for the user who connects first is projected in full screen mode. Users who connect lter cn project their own screen by clicking the button on the toolbr or cn control the projected disply from the projection control screen by clicking the button on the toolbr.

23 Connection Methods 23 When connection is estblished, the input source for the projector utomticlly switches to the LAN source if no other signl is being input. If the input source does not utomticlly switch to the LAN source, press the [LAN] button or [Source Serch] button on the remote control. The displyed toolbr vries depending on the connection method nd the edition of the softwre. When using the modertor function, only the modertor cn control the projected disply. The wireless LAN unit is instlled if projector does not hve built-in wireless LAN modules (wireless networks only). A LAN cble is connected to the projector (wired networks only). The projector's connection method is set to Advnced. b Strt EsyMP Multi PC Projection. Windows Vist nd Windows 7: Click Strt, select Progrms (or All Progrms), EPSON Projector, EsyMP Multi PC Projection, nd then click EsyMP Multi PC Projection Ver.X.XX. Windows 8 nd Windows 8.1: Select Serch on the Chrms, nd then select EsyMP Multi PC Projection Ver.X.XX. Windows 10: Select Strt, select All pps, select EPSON Projector, nd then select EsyMP Multi PC Projection. OS X: Double-click EsyMP Multi PC Projection from the Applictions folder. Profile: Serches for the projector bsed on previously sved profile. The projector serch results re displyed. Select the projector you wnt to connect to from the Projector List, nd then select one of the following options. f The modertor function is vilble only for supported models nd is vilble only on the Stndrd Edition of the softwre. When one user connects s modertor, the modertor function turns on. When the Projector Keyword is set to On or the Modertor Pssword is set in the projector settings, the keyword entry screen is displyed. Check the Projector Keyword displyed on the LAN stndby screen, enter the keyword, nd then click OK s necessry. You wnt ll users to be ble to become prticipnts in the modertor function: Mke sure Connect s Modertor, or disble interrupt connections is not selected, nd then click Join.

25 Connection Methods 25 When connection is estblished, the computer screen is projected nd the following toolbr is displyed on the computer screen. The computer screen for the user who connects first is projected in full screen mode. Users who connect lter cn project their own screen by clicking the button on the toolbr or cn control the projected disply from the projection control screen by clicking the button on the toolbr. When connection is estblished, the input source for the projector utomticlly switches to the LAN source if no other signl is being input. The bckground color of the user nme in the user list is blue while their screen is projected. 36 Disconnecting 36 You cn disconnect one computer or ll devices from the projector when you finish projecting. Perform one of the following opertions. Disconnect your computer nd the projectors: Click the Leve button on the toolbr. The connection between your computer nd the projectors is ended. The connection between ll devices nd projectors prticipting in the meeting is ended. When you re the modertor, the Disconnect All button is displyed on the toolbr insted of this button. You cn lso disconnect by clicking Leve from the Disconnect menu on the projection control screen. The modertor cn disconnect other prticipnts by rightclicking the selected user in the user list, nd then clicking Leve on the projection control screen when using the modertor function. When the modertor leves the meeting, the modertor function turns off. Disconnect ll devices from the projectors: Click the button on the toolbr, nd then click Disconnect All from the Disconnect menu on the projection control screen. b This function is not vilble for prticipnts when using the modertor function. The loction of the USB Type A port vries depending on your projector. See your projector User's Guide for more detils. i When you hve finished projecting wirelessly, select Sfely Remove Hrdwre in the Windows tskbr, nd then remove the USB key from your computer. You cn shre the USB key with other users without disconnecting your computer. To do this, deselect the Quit ppliction when removing the USB key checkbox on the Set options screen in EsyMP Multi PC Projection. You my need to restrt your computer to rectivte your wireless LAN connection. You see projected messge tht the network informtion updte is complete. f g Remove the USB key. Insert the USB key to USB port on your computer. In Windows Vist, if the AutoPly window is displyed, select Run LunchMPP.exe, then select Allow. h Follow the on-screen instructions to instll EsyMP Multi PC Projection. If the Windows Firewll messge is displyed, click Yes to disble the firewll. You need dministrtor uthority to instll the softwre. If it is not instlled utomticlly, double-click MPPLunch.exe in the USB key. After few minutes, your computer imge is displyed by the projector. 41 Connecting to Multiple Projectors (Mirroring) 41 Connecting to multiple projectors nd projecting the sme imge is known s mirroring. You cn perform mirroring with up to four projectors. On the serch screen, select up to four projectors you wnt to connect to, nd then click Join. Mirroring is vilble only in Advnced Connection Mode. You cnnot perform mirroring with projectors tht re not comptible with EsyMP Multi PC Projection. For best results, we recommend tht you connect the projector to wired LAN to perform mirroring. A projector mirroring group is formed nd the sme imge is projected from multiple projectors. When you select one projector from projector mirroring group, ll of the projectors in tht group re selected. When other users re lredy connected to projector in mirroring group, you cn only select nother projector from the sme mirroring group. You cnnot select projector tht is not in mirroring group.

42 Outputting Audio from the Projector 42 You cn output udio from the projector only when one computer is connected to one projector, nd you re projecting in full screen mode. b c Click Set options on the serch screen. The Set options screen is displyed. Click the Audio Output tb. Select Output udio from the projector, nd then click OK. This llows you to chnge the necessry settings without projecting the opertion. The projected imge currently displyed is pused utomticlly when you switch the toolbr to the projection control screen. Your computer screen is projected gin when you return to the toolbr. c Select Freeze projected screen when displying Projection control screen, nd then click OK. This function is vilble only for the modertor when using the modertor function. b Click Set options on the serch screen. The Set options screen is displyed. Click the Generl settings tb. The Set options screen closes. The opertion on the projector control screen will not be projected next time you use it.

48 Prohibiting Prticipnt Opertions 48 The modertor cn lock mouse opertions on prticipnt's devices so tht the prticipnt cnnot chnge the imges being projected. 49 Controlling the Connection Bndwidth 49 You cn reduce the size of dt trnsferred to the projector to decrese the network lod. To do this, you cn control the connection bndwidth. b c d Click Set options on the serch screen. Set options screen ppers. Click the Adjust performnce tb. Select Projection Qulity. Imge Priority: Trnsfers projected imge dt with low compression rtio to prioritize imge qulity. Speed Priority: Compresses projected imge dt to increse trnsfer speed. Select the bndwidth you wnt to use s the Use Bndwidth setting. When you select nrrower bndwidth, the projected imge qulity my decline but the network lod is reduced. If you do not need to output udio while controlling bndwidth, mke sure you cler the Output udio from the projector setting on the Audio Output tb. Check for ny obstcles between the computer nd projector, nd chnge their position to improve communiction. Sometimes the indoor environment prevents the projector from being found in serch.
