6 Battery module Hot swappable battery module, the same size as the power module,completely compatible with the power module drawer, without changing the modular cabinet of UPS system. Supporting online hot swap, easy maintenance, redundant battery module is available, providing high availability. 6/35

7 Features of battery module The overall design using the same size as power module, power module slot compatible. Each battery module equipped with circuit breaker, with short circuit protection function, more reliability. Battery module has low voltage& over discharge protection function. Battery with hot swap design. Simple operation, easy maintenance. Hot swappable and parallelizability battery module function, providing higher availability with redundancy battery module. Internal battery module using high performance free maintenance leadacid batteries, with long service life. Battery module according to the 2 groups of multiple selection, each 7/35 battery module contains 2 battery pack, battery pack containing i 10 pcs 12V/ 9AH batteries.

26 26/35 Q&A 1. EAST modular UPS static bypass is decentralized controlled, how about the reliability compared with centralized bypass? Although centralized bypass control is simple and easy to implement, but single point of failure can t be ignored,that is why we decide to use decentralized bypass. Currently in the industry, Eaton, Sakmann, Granville and other modular UPS are all used in a decentralized bypass technology. We have over current in each module, to make sure that once one module fault, the other can still work. 2. Only one charger is not reliability for EAST modular UPS? If the charger is dispersed in each power module, once the internal charger is damaged or short circuit, the power module also fails, the module does not work, with a decline of carrying capacity, which will affect the availability of the entire system. EAST UPS can use 2 charger for redundancy,200kva or less can have 2 chargers, power more than 200KVA can have 4 chargers parallel.
