These variables are set as environment variables to the current shell via envsetup.sh command. build/envsetup.sh Choose a build target command choose which target to build. The exact configuration can be passed as an argument lunch aosp_arm-eng Build the Code make build everything. GNU make can handle parallel tasks with a-jn argument.
