3 Overview of Workflow 6 Step process to transfer Plant 3D Pipe Catalogs to Civil 3D Download content from Autodesk App Exchange Launch Project Kameleon Parts Editor Import Plant 3D Content Library to Parts Editor Open & Export Content Library and export Civil 3D Copy Catalog to Civil 3D folder Launch Civil 3D and commence utilizing the content

4 Step 1 - Download Content Finding content on Autodesk App Store Autodesk App Store Plant 3D Catalogs & Specs Available for download to supplement Plant 3D spec and Catalogs 1. Sign in using Autodesk ID 2. Click Download 3. Run Downloaded Executable Note: If Plant 3D not installed, use 7-Zip and extract to either. C:\AutoCAD Plant 3D 2015 Content\<Cpak Name>\ C:\AutoCAD Plant 3D 2016 Content\<Cpak Name>\

5 Step 2 - Launch Parts Editor Launch Project Kameleon Parts Editor Double Click Desktop Icon Click the Start Button, All programs, Autodesk, Autodesk Project Kameleon, Parts Editor

6 Step 3 - Import Plant 3D Catalog Import pipe Catalog to Project Kameleon 1. Click Import From Plant3D 2. Browse to either C:\AutoCAD Plant 3D 2015 Content\<Cpak Name>\ C:\AutoCAD Plant 3D 2016 Content\<Cpak Name>\ 3. Select PCAT file 4. Wait for Catalog to import Note: Import may error due to non-ascii characters in Part Family names and Long Descriptions of Part Sizes. Workaround is to use the Plant 3D Catalog Editor to remove these offending characters, if they are found.

7 Step 4 - Open & Export Content Export Pipe Catalog to Civil 3D 1. Switch to Publish tab 2. Click Export to C3D 3. Wait for Catalog to process 4. Check output location

8 Step 5 - Copy Catalog Copy pipe catalog to Civil 3D Pressure Pipe Catalog 1. Open Output location in Windows Explorer 2. Browse to Location of Civil 3D Pressure Pipe Catalog 3. Copy and Paste files from Output location to Pressure Pipe Catalog Location C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2016\enu\Pressure Pipes Catalog

9 Step 6 - Launch Civil 3D Set Pressure Pipe Network Catalog 1. Launch Civil 3D 2. click on the Create Design fly-out on the home tab in Civil 3D and click on Set Pressure Network Catalog

10 Step 6 Create Pressure Pipe Parts Add new content to Pressure Pipe Parts List 1. create a new parts list in the setting tab of toolspace under Pressure Networks. Note: This step is important as the new parts will not be available to add to existing parts lists 2. Right-click to add a new pipe material to the new parts list, select material and ok

11 Step 6 Create Pressure Pipe Parts Add new content to Pressure Pipe Parts List 3. Right-click to add a new pipe sizes to the new parts list, tick Add all sizes and OK 4. Repeat for Fittings and Appurtenances

12 Step 6 Use New Pressure Pipe Parts Create Pressure Network using new Pressure Pipe Parts 1. Create new Pressure Network using Pressure Network Creation Tools 2. Populate Dialog box and select new Parts List from Parts List Drop Down.
