1 Release Letter Combined H.264 Firmware for CPP6 UHD cameras Products: CPP5 encoders CPP4 HD cameras CPP3 cameras and encoders CPP-ENC H.264 encoders Version: This letter contains latest information about the above mentioned firmware version. 1 General This firmware release is a combined firmware package, applicable to H.264 products based on one of the following platforms. The platforms have been renamed for a more generic recognition to Common Product Platform, short CPP, followed by the architecture-related number or suffix. The filenames are adapted accordingly. Note: To upgrade to a newer firmware version using this combined firmware package, firmware versions before 5.5x require an intermediate update cycle using the respective platform firmware version mentioned above. Note: This combined firmware file shall not be applied to CPP5 products with firmware version older than as it may cause problems. 5 3 New Features for CPP4 products MIC IP 7000 series MIC IP 7000 and VIDEOJET connect 7000 are closely linked together with automated setup using dedicated application variant. This allows the MIC to make use of resources of the VIDEOJET connect 7000 as its own. Audio input signal is automatically forwarded from a connected VIDEOJET connect 7000 as the MIC s audio. Alarm inputs and outputs on a connected VIDEOJET connect 7000 are virtually belonging to MIC IP 7000 and can be controlled via the MIC user interface. Fix Cameras Analogue video output has been enabled in applicable IP 4000 and 5000 series cameras. Recording Automated Network Replenishment (ANR) 2.0 can now be configured through the Web interface with a single click. In ANR mode, SD card fill level is shown on recording status page. Network Auto-IP assignment for IPv4 (aka Link local, APIPA) has been added as an alternative setting to pure DHCP. In this mode, if no DHCP server is responding after 10 seconds, a link-local address will be chosen. ONVIF conformance CONF_ONVIF_STREAM_URI_EX allows storing a stream URI extension that is appended to the ONVIF stream URI. 6 4 Changes for CPP5 products An issue with wrong RTSP sequence numbers has been fixed. An issue with sometimes false MAC address provided has been fixed. An issue with privacy masks missing in first JPEG posted after reboot has been fixed. An issue where the image on a decoder was caused to freeze has been fixed. Please check the release letter of CPP5 FW 5.92 for completeness and details. 5 New Features for CPP-ENC products Encoders Automated Network Replenishment (ANR) 2.0 can now be configured through the Web interface with a single click. In ANR mode, CF card fill level is shown on recording status page. Decoder Various 3 rd party (ONVIF) cameras that support RTSP and CGI interface can directly be connected. URL can be entered via decoder s connection page or used in ATSL scripting. Transcoder The transcoder setup containing addresses of remote devices is provided in the reply to a network scan. VIDEOJET connect 7000 A connected MIC-7000 is automatically detected and the transcoder setup configured accordingly. Audio input signal is automatically forwarded to a connected MIC-7000 as the MIC s audio. VIDEOJET connect 7000 automatically acts as time server for a connected MIC-7000 to keep both devices synchronised. Please check the release letter of CPP-ENC FW 5.93 for completeness and details. 6

7 6 Restrictions; Known Issues This firmware and its included platform firmware builds are not applicable to MPEG-4 products. The final firmware version for VIP-X1600-XFM4 modules is FW No newer firmware can be loaded onto these modules. The final firmware version for CPP3 devices is FW No newer firmware can be loaded onto these modules. The Combined Firmware file does not load onto VG4 AutoDome or AutoDome Easy II via the browser when running a firmware version before The specific platform file should be used instead. Cameras or encoders with a minimum firmware version that is higher than the lowest firmware version in the combined firmware file may show error 0x0b in the upload history which can be ignored. Firmware upload is not affected by this. Please check the respective release letter of a camera or encoder for further device-specific restrictions. 7
