1 Access Control Product Lifecycle News Date: Product Information SiPass integrated now supports Bosch video surveillance equipment Siemens Security Products business segment is pleased to announce that in addition to the existing integration with our Siemens CCTV products, SiPass integrated is now compatible with the majority of the CCTV offering of Bosch Security Systems as well. By using the SiPass integrated DVR API it is possible to support Divar 700 Series, DivarXF, DivarMR, DivarClassic, DiBos 8, Bosch VRM and IP cameras/encoders in a SiPass integrated system. The transparent integration between SiPass integrated and Bosch s video surveillance equipment delivers automated video and alarm verification with both live and recorded Bosch video so users can react to critical events without ever having to leave their SiPass integrated system. This powerful integration means all video appears within the SiPass integrated application, eliminating the need to refer back to the video management system user interface. The tight integration of Bosch s video solutions and Siemens SiPass integrated system simplifies physical security management by facilitating threat detection and identification. 3 Summary of Capabilities All video, live or playback, appear on the SiPass integrated workstation. Alarms are treated as follows: (1) Live Alarms The end user can be made aware of an alarm by a related video window popping up. Example A: a door forced open alarm can tell a Bosch AutoDome to jump to a preset, increase the recording rate/quality and pop up a video window. Example B: a Bosch Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) alarm, such as a trip-wire or loitering on a perimeter fence, can be fed into SiPass integrated to show an event in the audit trail and to display live video in a pop up window. Again, this can cause a Bosch AutoDome to jump to a preset, accelerate the recording rate/quality. After the window is displayed, the end user has the option to either continue with live video (including PTZ control), or to rewind and search the video for the moments leading up to the incident. These scenarios are equally valid for IP and analog cameras connected to encoders or DVRs, iscsi or VRM. (2) Reviewing Alarms The end user can revisit old alarms by right-clicking on the camera icon next to the alarm in the SiPass integrated audit trail or via SiPass explorer. Integration/Compatibility Information Refer to the list on the following pages to find out which Bosch devices have been certified for use with the SiPass integrated DVR API. SiPass integrated compatibility testing occurred on the MP2.4 SP5 and MP2.5 SP1 platforms. The integration is compatible with key video technologies, including: MPEG-4 and H.264 compression schemes Real-time frame rates and full resolution Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) that predicts threats by analyzing changes in the scene. The IVA in the camera or encoder can feed alarms to the SiPass integrated system. This is useful when someone is loitering near a door or gate secured by SiPass integrated, for example.
