Some of the issues we face: Customers don t have enough data to share (due to scarcity, fragmentation, legal and confidentiality problems ) Lack of data on some rare languages or dialects Time and resources to build required LR Having the customer engaged in the process (approval step)

Genric LRs or domain specific data or both? Do we need to improve public LRs availability or improve customer specific data curation?

Will Google benefit from this as well? Why the EPO collaborate with Google given them millions of human-translated patents and not to the EU members? Costs? Who pays? Data maintenance? Competition with services providers, editors?
