If the virtul mchine is on vcloud Networking nd Security, you might need to llocte more RAM spce. Although generl support for vcloud Networking nd Security 5.5.x (vcns) ended in Septemer 2016, the VCNS custom properties continue to e vlid for NSX purposes. Beginning with vrelize Automtion 7.0, the PostgreSQL dtse is lwys configured in highvilility mode. Log in to vrelize Automtion Applince Mngement nd click vra settings > Dtse to locte the current Mster node. If the dtse configurtion is listed s n externl dtse, crete mnul ckup of this externl dtse. If the vrelize Automtion Microsoft SQL dtse is not hosted on the IS server, crete dtse ckup file. Verify tht you hve completed the ckup prerequisites for upgrding. Verify tht you hve tken snpshot of your system while it is shut down. This is the preferred method of tking snpshot. See your vsphere 6.0 Documenttion. VMwre, Inc. 14

15 If you cnnot shut down your system, tke n in-memory snpshot of ll the nodes. This is the nonpreferred method nd should only e used if you cnnot tke snpshot while the system is shut down. For est upgrde performnce, use the ISO file method. Downlod Virtul Applince Updtes for Use with CD-ROM Drive You cn updte your virtul pplince from n ISO file tht the pplince reds from the virtul CD-ROM drive. This is the preferred method. Procedure 1 To downlod the updte repository ISO file, go to the vrelize Automtion product pge t Click vrelize Automtion Downlod Resources to go to the VMwre downlod pge. 2 Locte the downloded file on your system to verify tht the file size is the sme s the file on the VMwre downlod pge. Use the checksums provided on the downlod pge to vlidte the integrity of your downloded file.
