2 GH-3900 ESIS The GH-3900 Electronic Standby Instrument System (ESIS) represents the next generation of standby technology, taking display and operation flexibility to an unprecedented level. Configuration options are numerous, with an adjustable display to meet the needs and preferences of almost any cockpit environment. Designed to Level A hardware and software standards, the GH-3900 allows the installer to define and configure IO interfaces, SSEC and VMO values, and the preferred display presentation of attitude, altitude, airspeed, heading and navigation data. Navigation Mode TOFROM SlipSkid Distance-toWaypoint or Station Marker Barometric Pressure Selection Mach Vertical Speed Course Selection Glideslope Scale Ambient Light Sensor Pitch Ladder Roll Scale Altitude Tape Airspeed Tape Metric Altitude Aircraft Reference Symbol Hardware enhancements include a variety of air data and heading input options, as well as optional built-in accelerometers. The GH-3900 supports multiple inputoutput data transfer protocols, including ARINC 429, RS-422, RS-232, discrete and analog signals. Software enhancements include an Aircraft Configuration Module Tool that simplifies the initial setup of the GH-3900 ESIS. The software allows authorized installers to define and customize the presentation of colors, flight cues and navigation data. Simply input preferences into the intuitive PC software and start setting the display parameters. Time-to-Waypoint or Station Airspeed Awareness Bands (Part 23, 25, 27, 29 formats) Illuminated Adjustment Knob Heading Tape Ground Speed The Aircraft Configuration software simplifies the display and interface settings for authorized installers. Localizer Scale Illuminated Menu Button There are several versions of the GH-3900 designed for a number of platforms and uses. Some models incorporate their own ADC, while others interface with third-party computers. Whether you are looking for a fully independent standby system for a commercial or business jet, a display-only version for a groundbased simulator, or a repeater version for a dualpilot configuration, the GH-3900 meets the need. The completely redesigned GH-3900 was engineered with Configurable flight cues, colors, data and aircraft performance a variety of aircraft in mind, including those with limited ARINC 429, RS-422, RS-232, discrete and analog interfaces space behind the panel. The GH-3900 is a full 1.5 inches shorter than earlier GH models. Once defined, colors and visual flight cues are stored in the aircraft s wiring, eliminating the need for a separate configuration module. Changing, adding or deleting display features is accomplished using the instrument s Menu button. Interfaces to other avionics are managed through the Configuration Module Tool software.
5 GH-3900 ESIS MAG-3000 ADC-4000 Magnetic heading can be added to the GH-3900 display using a compatible ARINC 429 source. Aircraft without this data protocol can use the MAG-3000 to obtain heading. The GH-3900 can be configured with an internal ADC or a remote ADC. Operators of legacy aircraft can opt to install the ADC-4000, which is designed to share air data with other instruments.
