The WM8731L mini-board can also be used independently and connected directly to a processor board using flying ires or appropriate headers. This document ill cover both, but performance data ill be based on the Wolfson system ith 6061-EV1 main board. Configurations covered are listed belo: DAC Playback to 32Ω Headphone on L/RHPOUT ADC Record from L/RINPUT Analogue bypass (LINE-in-LINE-out) This document should be used as a starting point for evaluation of WM8731. It ill not cover every possible usage mode. Assumptions: 1. The user is familiar ith the 6061-EV1 main board and that the board is configured correctly for the path of interest (see related documents belo) 2. The user has setup WISCE as per instruction and has control of the DUT (register settings provided in this document) Related documents: 1. 3 Customer Information WM8731L-6061-CO28-M Evaluation Board BOARD CONFIGURATION STAND-ALONE The WM8731L mini board can be used a stand-alone module for direct connection to a processor board via flying leads or dedicated headers. This section ill detail important considerations and provide all information required to do this ithout risking damage to the CODEC. CONNECTION DIAGRAM Figure 1 shos the connections required to poer-up and control the WM8731L mini board. Connections can be made through flying leads or ith 2.54mm pitch headers compatible ith those on the mini board. Additionally, MICIN can be configured to use the onboard silicon microphone, and the headphone Jack socket provides an AC-coupled headphone output. 5 Customer Information BOARD CONFIGURATION WITH 6061-EV1 MAIN BOARD WM8731L-6061-CO28-M Evaluation Board This section focuses on evaluation of the WM8731L mini board in combination ith the 6061-EV1 main board. This system is the reference platform for measurement data contained in this document. Please note that only a limited number of usage modes ill be covered. DAC PLAYBACK TO 32Ω HEADPHONE ON L/RHPOUT The folloing section details board configuration for stereo DAC playback to 32ohm headphone on R/LHPOUT. It should be noted that R/LHPOUT outputs are routed to headphone jack sockets on the WM8731L mini-board and 6061-EV1 main-board, and also to phono connectors on the main-board.
