11 Due to its compact and complex design, there are numerous screws of different types (Figures 3 and 4) that must be removed, and then reinstalled in the proper places. In order to replace the processor card and install the fan, you will need to remove several components. Most of the computer will be disassembled during the course of this upgrade process. Do not proceed with this installation unless you feel comfortable with completely disassembling your Cube. Sonnet strongly recommends that a qualified technician perform this installation. #1 (Qty: 11) Screw Types #2 (Qty: 1) #3 (pan head, Qty: 1) #4 (Qty: 2) As you proceed with disassembling the Cube in the hardware installation of the Encore/ST, we recommend that you place the screws in separate containers to help you to easily identify and keep track of them. This will minimize confusion during reassembly. Before working inside your Cube, always move it to an area where you can freely work, and gently rest it on a soft cotton cloth to prevent scratching the computer s enclosure. #5 (supplied by Sonnet, Qty: 4) #6 (Qty: 2) Figure 3 #7 (Qty: 1) Screw #4 Screw #3 Screw #4 Core Screw #2 Screw #7 Screw #5 Screw #6 Screw #6 FAN Note: All other screws removed/installed are Screw #1; locations for these have not been indicated.
