19 Highlights of the Topology New topology Both mgmt and data connect into a single Nexus 2232PP which plugs in to UCS fabric interconnects (any of the 6100 or 6200 series). A pair of Nexus 2232PP is required for HA. Mgmt ports will require a 1000Base-T SFP Transceiver Module (GLC-T) PPs per Fabric Interconnect will be supported. Note that there are no deviations from the supported topology 1 GE LOM ports are required to be used for management. Qualified 10 GE adapters are required to be used for data. Third Party and other adapters may be added to the server, but will not be managed as part of UCSM. A Data plane adapter is still required for the server to be discovered and managed by UCSM. Required software version UCSM 2.0(2) is the UCSM version. Standalone CIMC version 1.4(3) will be the ONLY CIMC release initially integrated under this version. CIMC version 1.4(4) will be the only version for the C220 and C240 M3.
20 Supported adapters for UCSM integration Note: The integrated 10Gig LOM for the C460 is a BCM57711 which is qualified the C260 MLOM is a BCM57712 which is NOT yet qualified

32 Big Data integrated in UCSM UCS Configuration - automated with Powershell Using an automation tool (such as Powershell in this example) provides consistent and automated UCSM configuration after rack/stack. Leveraging a consistent template for all UCSM configurations with variables for all site specific parameters (CIMC IP Pool, MAC address pools, etc..) Allows the HW implementer to fully configure the UCS Environment without having deep UCS knowledge 32
33 Integrated Solution Networking advantages Independent 10Gig paths for back end data Deterministic Traffic Flow Use Cluster failover mechanism for internode communications QoS settings to provide higher level of service Fabric Failover for Front end connectivity 33
