1 Remote Endpoint Management and PCoIP Management Console Oct. 19, 2017 Presented by: Paul Barrett, Systems Specialist, Teradici 1. Why did Teradici change their licensing agreement? We made the change to All Access to provide comprehensive bundles for existing and new PCoIP customers. These bundles include software, support, resources, and cloud-ready options to help customers manage, optimize and future-proof their deployments. Additionally, All Access will enable Teradici to provide support and deliver more features and updates that are in high demand by our subscribers. 2. Is Wi-Fi for Tera2 also on the roadmap? There is a Wi-Fi capable Tera2 zero client on the market today. It is available from NCST in the form of a laptop. 3. Will there be 4K capability from the Remote Workstation Card? If so when? We are working towards 4K UHD support for the DisplayPort models of the Tera2 Remote Workstation Card and Tera2 Zero Client in the first half of We currently have PCoIP Management Console Enterprise licenses, is that the same as the Teradici All Access Plans? If you are an existing PCoIP Management Console Enterprise customer, you will be entitled to Management Console Enterprise and zero client firmware updates, the same as Desktop Access plan. Additional license purchases or renewals of existing Management Console Enterprise licenses will be Desktop Access subscriptions. 5. Is there a way to automatically associate the current logged in user to the device? No, this function is not available in the PCoIP Management Console however it is tracked in the endpoint log files or can be obtained via SNMP. 6. Need help with upgrading to the latest version. Our MC version is and our zero clients are on version What are the steps to upgrade? You can migrate directly from MC to MC 3.0 and upgrade your zero clients from firmware to You can download firmware 5.x or 6.x into MC for ease of upgrading your zero clients. We recommend you upgrade on a Group by Group basis. As you upgrade the firmware, you will not be able to manage the zero clients from the older Management Console and they should show up in your new MC. Please see the PCoIP Management Console Administrators Guide on our support site for details. 7. Can you upgrade the current management console to 3.0 or is it a fresh install? If it is a fresh install, is it available on Amazon Marketplace? It is a fresh install. Currently it is not available on Amazon Marketplace.

2 8. I've heard that AWS Workspaces won't need the connection manager with the new 3.0 Management Console. But we only have 350 nodes; will we have to use the Enterprise Management Console? In Firmware 6.0.0, a new session type has been added to connect directly to Amazon Workspaces. Firmware is available by subscription only. This feature can be used directly on the zero client through the OSD or the AWI. However, PCoIP Management Console 3.0 adds the ability to configure this new session type from a profile, to simplify the management of a large deployment. 9. Is there a way to block USB devices and allow specific devices by serial numbers? No, you can only restrict USB devices by class or ID 10. Are you able to login to the client locally remotely? You can log into any zero client locally. If you require remote login, you will still have to deploy a VPN solution or configure the zero client with a public IP address. 11. Is the remote management feature only available in the purchased version of console? Yes, this feature is only available in the licensed Management Console Enterprise. 12. What is the Client firmware level required for the 3.x console support for remote management? Remote management has been tested with versions of firmware from 5.3 and above. For remote devices, ensure the network latency is less than 100msec. 13. Are Ethernet or Speed/Duplex settings configurable through PCoIP profiles now? No, currently this is only configurable from the AWI and OSD screens. 14. Are Ethernet Mode or Speed/Duplex configurable through PCoIP profiles now? No, currently this is only configurable from the AWI and OSD screens. 15. You did the example with an NGINX reverse proxy. Can I use any reverse proxy? We have performed our testing with NGINX, and provided a sample configuration for it. However, it should work with any proxy that supports the WebSockets protocol, can open the management TCP port and is accessible to both the Management Console and the remote endpoint. 16. My user doesn t have access to the AWI or OSD screens. How can I get the zero client configured or upgraded for remote device management? If the user does not have access to the AWI or OSD, or you are unable to walk them through using either, then you will need to return the zero client back to your office, reconfigure it and send it back out. 17. Will this work for a remote office?

3 It will work for a remote office, however it is optimized for smaller numbers of devices at each office, such as an at-home scenario. In this release, each remote zero client establishes its own connection to the Management Console, so you may find a large remote office to be heavy on the network traffic during firmware upgrades. 18. Do I have to have a reverse proxy? That is the only configuration we support. The reverse proxy is there to create a layer between the public Internet and the Management Console. If you do not use a reverse proxy, then you put your Management Console into a risky situation which we do not support. 19. What s this Amazon WorkSpaces feature added to Management Console 3.0? Firmware 6.0 for Tera2 Zero Clients added a new session connection type for Amazon WorkSpaces, which supports Multi-Factor Authentication. Management Console 3.0 is the first version of the Management Console to be able to configure this session type on the zero client through a profile. 20. Is there an AMI or EC2 variant for the Management Console? Not today, though we are working on one. Today, you can find instructions on our release notes for how to perform your own conversion of the OVA into an AMI for EC2. We do not support those instructions as they are AWS instructions for image conversion. Today we cannot provide technical support for any hypervisor specific issues when running on EC2, but we are working on a solution for this. 21. How much does PCoIP Management Console Enterprise cost and where can I purchase? PCoIP Management Console Enterprise is included in all of our All Access plans. Our Desktop Access plan, for example, includes the Management Console Enterprise, along with firmware updates, 24 x 7 support for the zero clients and the MC, and exclusive resources like webinars, and we are currently doing a promotion with 40% off discount that is available until Jan. 31, 2018 and there s an additional 20% off for 3-year terms. 22. What is All Access? All Access is a complete set of remoting solutions, enabling knowledge workers and power users across a wide range of vertical markets, available as four comprehensive subscription plans that include software, resources and support from Teradici, the inventors of PCoIP technology. 23. Which PCoIP devices can I manage using Management Console? You can manage any brand of Tera2 PCoIP Zero Clients, and up to 20,000 devices. Compatibility with PCoIP Remote Workstation Cards is planned for end of 2017.

4 24. Which browsers work with Enterprise Edition? The web interface is compatible with Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge. 25. Can I use the software to update PCoIP Zero Client firmware? Yes, you can update the firmware for one or many devices, immediately or schedule for a later date and time on a weekly basis by using the recurring schedules function. PCoIP Management Console Enterprise Edition works with firmware 5.0 or higher. 26. Does the product purchase include updates? Both minor and major software releases are included as part of all of our All Access subscriptions, including the latest firmware updates for PCoIP Zero Clients. Updates are available to subscribers for download on techsupport.teradici.com. 27. Is there still a free version? Yes, please contact our sales team for a PCoIP Management Console Enterprise trial to get PCoIP Management Console Free. 28. How many devices will be supported with the Free Edition? PCoIP Management Console Free provides single IT administrator access and allows for management of up to 100 PCoIP Zero Clients. 29. Which features are included in the Free Edition? PCoIP Management Console Free supports all the basic functionality required to manage and update up to 100 PCoIP Zero Clients, and does not include support and maintenance, except for critical updates. The Free version does not support Enterprise features, such as auto config and scheduling. 30. Does the Free Edition include updates? Only critical firmware updates for PCoIP Zero Clients will be made available to unlicensed customers. Firmware updates for PCoIP Zero Clients are available for download on techsupport.teradici.com. 31. What happened to Management Console Standard? Management Console Standard Edition has been removed from the market as of September 30, It is replaced with Management Console Free. 32. Will you continue to support my Tera1 device? Tera1 devices were end of life as of December 31, Although formal support is no longer

5 available, we continue to make available Management Console Release 1.10.x as a tool to support Tera1 users for at least the foreseeable future. 33. How is the Management Console different from a Connection Broker? PCoIP Management Console and a Connection Broker are complementary tools. The PCoIP Management Console is used to manage all PCoIP Zero Client parameters, monitor device status information and upgrade firmware.
