The track alignment through Chorley station was re designed in order to facilitate this, and the platform coping stones have been re aligned to provide compliant clearances and platform heights (X dimension) and offsets (Y dimension). The required construction tolerances were extremely challenging at this location (with a 1 mm design clearance to 890 mm Y offset). The proposal has been supported by the ystem eview Panel and in early engagement informal review with B panel. In particular, the Pudding Mill Lane portal, where the alignment has to avoid the iver Lea and its tributaries, the 12 and the ocklands Light ailway, has been particularly problematic. However, for safety of maintenance activity and integrity of operation, it is necessary to have a eutral ection in the 25kV Overhead Line Electrification (OLE) system at the infrastructure boundary, clear of the steep gradient at the portal and the switches and crossings joining Crossrail tracks to the existing route. Unfortunately, siting utomatic Power Control (PC) magnets to support this eutral ection has become problematic. ecision: T C deferred eviation pplication EV: Balise activation of automatic power control in place of magnet provision at Crossrail tunnel portals on the basis that it was deferred at EE C. T C decided they would see the deviation when it is ready for resubmission but would ideally like to see the deviation before it is presented to EE C.
