4 UI support Support of UML Intefaces in RSA RTE (1/3) UI: Menus and palette 'Interface' and 'Interface Realization' items are added to context menu -> Add UML RT Diagram Palette has new items: 'Interface' and 'Interface Realization'

5 UI support Support of UML Intefaces in RSA RTE (2/3) UI: Properties view, Operations tab Operations tab in Properties view shows operations from implemented interface. Implement Operation' command is available in context menu of operation. In C++ it creates a virtual function with the same signature as the pure virtual function in the base class. Operations are shown in gray and italics

6 C++ Transform Support of UML Intefaces in RSA RTE (3/3) C++ Transformations Both capsules and passive classes can implement interfaces Interface is translated to pure abstract class (i.e. with pure virtual functions) Interface realization link is translated to public inheritance Translated interfaces have empty public virtual destructor (can be disabled via 'Generate Destructor' option of Interface property sets)

7 C++ Transform Exclude elements from code generation User can exclude element from code generation using special keyword 'cpp_excluded'. When element has such keyword, no cpp/h files will be generated for it. Capsule TOP excluded

8 C++ Transform External constants in C++ Transfomations (1/2) User can define external constans using C++ External Library TC ('Constants' and 'Constant Provider' properties). Plugin ('Constant provider') <bundle symbolic name>/<qualified class name> /<method name> User defined ('Constants' ) <constant> = <value> External file ('Constants' (workspace related/ absolute)

10 New multi-threaded source file code generator (beta) Code generator uses multiple threads to generate source files in parallel It is JET-independent, reduces complexity It improves performance and will be used in Unit testing support. Controlled by preference: "UML Development" -> "Real Time C++ Transformations" -> "Use multi-threaded source file generator(beta)" User can control the number of generator threads (20 by default) C++ Transform Testing result on typycal large ustomer model: disabled: enabled, 20: 2 min 24 sec 1 min 31 sec enabled, 1000: 1 min 9 sec

11 Target RTS Changes in Target RTS C++ Support invoke() without reply() The reply buffer argument to invoke() and invokeat() is now optional. Defer invoked replies New function sendcopytome in RTActor; it allows a capsule to send a copy of a message to itself. Example: RTMessage reply; myport.myevent().invoke(&reply); sendcopytome(&reply); More generally this function can be used whenever a message cannot be fully handled in a single transition

12 Properties view Editing Property Sets User can edit element property sets while viewing Property Sets tab in Properties view. Use Edit link to open code editor with line position kept. not editable editable

13 Properties view Declare operation redefined User can declare current operation redefined by clicking new 'Set' button on General tab of Properties view Typical use case: In Rose RT imported model a subclass has an operation that is identical to an operation in the base class, but it is not declared as redefined. Select Element dialog supports search and browsing for base class operation. Clear button removes redefintion.

14 Navigation from element URIs to model elements User can find elements in Project Explorer by their URIs 'Navigate by URI' item in Navigate menu Option to load closed models during command execution Navigation

15 Diagram editing Fully qualified operation names in Message dialog User can see fully qualified names of operations by enabling new option 'Show fully qualified operation names' Typical use case: several operations with the same name in the base class and subclasses.

16 Adding Trigger User can set guard code when adding a trigger New option «Add trigger guard» in Add Trigger dialog Code editor is used to enter the guard code Diagram editing

17 Selecting Element Type Search Search field in Select Element for Type dialog is autofilled with the native type Type name is extracted from the native type: const, *, &, etc are stripped

18 Search Search Search result indicates whether search was case-sensetive. Improved layout and clearer option names in Modify Search Scope section
