The application will display a multiplication table that show a result of multiplying the user entered number by numbers 1 through 9. If the number entered by user is not an integer number then you need to show an error message in the label (as shown in figure 3). It is better to code this application using functions or sub procedure. You need to work on the application as follows: a) Create the user interface as show in figure 1. Set 0 as default value for the text box while first load the application. (8 marks) b) Write the function for showing the multiplication table when user types an integer number in the text box. In figure 2, it will show the multiplication result in label while user enters number 4. (12 marks) c) Write the function for validate the number entered by the user. If user enters an input which is not an integer number, then the application should show an error message in the label as show in figure 3. (8 marks) d) Write the function for exit button. (2 marks) Figure 1: User interface for Multiplication Application. Figure 2: While user enters number 4 in the textbox, it will show the multiplication result in the label. 4/6
6 Figure 3: While user enters a letter q, it will show an error message in the label. Question 2 (30 MARKS) You need to create an application named as Serial Number Generator that generates and display 4 unique codes as show in figure 4 below. For each code, it should contain one character (A to Z) and follow by 3 digit number (000 to 999). These codes should be generate randomly and unique to each other. Figure 5 show the user interface for this application. Figure 6 show the example output for this application. A123-B456-C789-E082 Code 1 Code 2 Code 3 Code 4 Figure 4: 4 codes which each code will contain one character and 3 digits. Your tasks are as follows: a) Create user interface as show in figure 5. (5 marks) b) Write the function for exit button. (2 marks) c) Write the function for Generator button. You are require to use array for this question. (23 marks) Hint: You can use a four element array for store these 4 codes and then display the codes in the label. For each code, you will randomly generate one character then follow by three digit integers. In case of randomly generate one character from A to Z, you can declare an array that contain the letter A to Z. After that, you can use Random method to generate an integer number which will be use to represent the index of the array elements. In case of generate a unique code, you can generate a code and then compare it with the generated elements of array (which is the array that storing these four codes). You need to generate the code again until no duplicated code exists. You are recommended to use function or sub procedure for this question. 5/6
