4 1. INTRODUCTION This document concerns a device designed to taking photos and their processing. The device is a compact photo studio which works with connected digital camera and PC. You can control the positioning of the object, interior lighting, camera settings, take and edit photos (or video films) by using an application which is attached to the device. (Danger) Warning against situations threatening serious (irreversible) injury or death if user is not careful. (Warning) Warning against threats which can cause minor body injury or damage to the machine. Before use, please become acquainted with the whole device manual. The manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused by improper, inexpert or careless using of the machine. 4

5 2. LIST OF ITEMS Before you start, check that the following items have been supplied with the device. In the absence of any of them, please contact with your dealer. 8 3. CALIBRATION Note: If you notice that the platform does not do a full rotation of 360 or presentations are not smooth, calibrate the product. Step 1. Turn on the Photo Composer and then run the ModeVid/ModePix application. Step 2. In the ModePiX/ModeViD select the calibration mode and follow the instructions "Manual MODEViD section 1.7." 8

9 Step 3. Place the magnet device in a place where the red LED lights up. Then press the application key "Next" Step 4. Calibration program starts running, the LED glows yellow. 9

10 Step 5. The green LED indicates the end of calibration. After completed calibration, turn off the device with the power and restart the application ModePiX/ModeViD If the device does not stop after one rotation, correct setting of magnet and run the program again. 10

11 4. CENTERING Step 1. Set the camera in the 90 position. Step 2. Place the plate for centering (1) in the middle of the device in such a way that it touches guide rollers (2). Remember that the field to centering (3) has to be in the middle of the plate. 11

12 Step 3. Using the knob (1) set the virtual viewfinder of camera. It has to hit in the middle of the plate for centering. Follow the instruction: "Manual MODEViD Chapter 1.5". 12

13 Step 4. Look at the preview LiveView and synchronize viewfinder with the middle of the platform (B). Synchronization adjust knob of attaching the camera (2) and knob of angle of setting camera (1). 13

14 5. BACKGROUND ASSEMBLY Step 1. Roll the background and put into the Photo Composer. Step 2. Place the background in background guides (1). 14

15 Step 3. Place background holes (1) in ball rollers (2). 15

16 6. PLATE ASSEMBLY Step 1. Set the plate at an angle and insert into the Photo Composer. Step 2. First, place the plate near the pressure roller (1) (press lightly) and next between guide rollers (2). 16

17 Step 3. After placing the plate at the drive roller (1), press using an arm of the guide roller (2) and screw the plate must be stable. 17

19 8. SCALE ON MOVEABLE GUIDE 1. On the moveable guide of camera are two arrows. Left indicates at what angle the camera is set on the arc, the right indicates the approximate steps of spherical presentation. To move the camera should release the lock arc (A). 2. The left scale on the arc with an angle of 0-90 allows you to determine the optimum position of the camera for the product. 19

20 3. The right scale on the arc with the scale 1-6 (steps spherical) is the overall assistance to the spherical presentation. The presentation does not have to start from level 1, you can choose the steps or use the left scale. 20

21 9. REPLACEMENT BACKGROUND Standard background of Photo Composer device on the one side is mat, on the second side with a slight shiny mirror image. 2D photos we can remove the platform (the plate) from the device and photograph on the one or second surface. 10. POINT LIGHTING FOR DETAILS (SPOT LIGHTS) The device is equipped with two point sources of light to illuminate the details. In both lamps is possible full control of light intensity and both lamps can be freely positioned and zooming to the subject. 21

22 11. COLORFUL BACKGROUNDS A4 Colorful sheets A4 (black, silver, gold) (B), can be used to avoid reflections from the environment on products such as eg. Silver, Gold, Nickel. To control the reflection on the product you can eject color A4 between the closed cover and a 3D arc. 23 12. DISASSEMBLY OF CAMERA HOLDER To montage the camera holder, insert the handle between the frame (A) of the arc (B). To remove the camera holder, unscrew the two screws securing the holder with a frame to the camera (A) and (B). 23

25 14. NOISE The noise which is emitted during machine operation is comparable to computer operation. Another source of noise is the sound of the snapshot of connected camera. The noise level is not a threat and is not burdensome for the machine operator and other people who work in the same room. The device during work does not exceed 80 db. 15. TRANSPORT, CONNECTION AND PREPARATION FOR WORK Transport The shape and weight of the device allow for safe move. During operation, the device need not be moved. Before transporting the machine, make sure that: Photo Composer was disconnected from the power, Photo Composer was disconnected from the computer, Camera was disconnected from the computer, Plate has been removed from the device and is secured, 25

26 16. EXPLOITATION AND CONSERVATION Operator s workplace The device should be operated in a typical office workstation (desk, chair). It provides the proper position during operation. The device is operated in a room with lighting which is normal for office work. Furthermore, the device has its own lighting of the place of object exposure. Construction of the device (wide basis) and low center of gravity does not create a danger of stability losing. The machine cannot fall over without a deliberate action. Conservation Unless otherwise stated in this manual, inside the machine there are no elements that can be serviced by the user. Any repair must be made by qualified service technicians. For repair and replacement of parts, use only original elements and assemblies marked with the manufacturer, and recommended by him supplies! 26

DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY WE The device has been designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the relevant directive that the manufacturer certifies CE and this declaration. Compatibility with directive: LVD /95/WE The device is powered by alternating-current 230V within the scope of the Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/WE (LVD) therefore subject to the requirements of the Directive. Most of the installation use safe voltage 12VDC in order to reduce electrical hazards. Impulse power supply used in installation has CE marking of conformity with LVD and has been connected according to the instruction. LEDs used for lighting are powered out of range the LVD. Compatibility with directive: EMC /108/WE The impulse power supply is the only element of the device which could cause interference or be susceptible to electromagnetic interference. The power supply has CE marking and declaration of conformity with Directive 2004/108/WE. Manufacturer of PHOTO COMPOSER can accept compliance with the EMC directive. 27

28 18. WARRANTY For this product manufacturer provides a 36 month warranty. Keep the original and complete packaging. If the device to repair has the non-original or incomplete packaging, the risk of damage in transport is on the purchaser side. Repackaging should be as adjusted for volume goods (device). Goods should be protected from the blows on each side of the package through the using of fill materials such as: Polystyrene foam, air foils, paper, etc. It is recommended to properly label: "cautiously glass", "up / down". In the interest of the purchaser is the best performance of the repackaging. For the faulty device must be accompanied by a copy of proof of purchase. The warranty is not granted: 1. by not observing the operating instructions, 2. Incorrect connection of the machine, 3. Incorrect using and maintenance, 4. For parts, which are subject to natural wear, such as plate, background, bearings, etc. 5. Defective or partial functioning of the equipment, caused by conflict or inconsistency between the installed applications and working environment and the impact of computer viruses. 6. The guarantee extends only to the free replacement of defect parts, but do not extend to consequences of the damage. Responsibility The manufacturer is not responsible for consequences of damage resulting from failure to manual and related improperly connecting the machine, improper operation of the machine, and especially for not to take immediately repair of safety devices. 28
