2 Cameras & Optical Equipment Premium Positioning At Catawiki we auction cameras and optical equipment of premium quality which are hard to find and appealing to passionate camera and optical equipment enthusiasts. Because potential buyers come to Catawiki looking for special and rare cameras and optical equipment, our in-house experts select every piece for our auctions, ensuring they are of premium quality and are presented in the best possible way. We do this because we aim to keep our bidders excited, allowing them to find the pieces they re interested in and to ensure our sellers have great selling experiences.

In these guidelines, we ve defined what the special pieces are that bidders look for in our camera and optical equipment auctions. We ll also state what we require from you to successfully place them in auction. These guidelines serve to create a level playing field between all our sellers. 4 For our auctions we seek and select: a wide range of analogue and digital cameras, film and darkroom equipment as well as optical equipment from a selection of reputable brands items that are in at least good condition if younger than 20 years old, or in at least fair condition if older than 20 years lots that are commercially attractive with a value of at least 50 Product Guidelines At Catawiki we auction analogue and digital cameras as well as optical equipment.

5 Desired cameras, bodies and lenses We seek a wide range of cameras and equipment, from all periods and by various desired brands and models, including: Analogue cameras Digital cameras (compact cameras with less than 8 megapixels need to be offered in a lot of 5 pieces or more) Point and shoot cameras (without zoom) DSLR bodies and sets with lenses Lenses for cameras (e.g. Nikon, Canon, Sony, Olympus, Minolta, Hasselblad, Leica, Zeiss, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, Voigtländer)

9 Items that are not suitable for our auctions The following create little bidder interest in our auctions and are therefore not suitable: Compact cameras with built-in zoom lenses Autofocus SLR cameras from unless they are professional equipment Digital action cameras other than GoPro Nikon F301, F401, F501, F50, F60, F70 Canon EOS 650, 700 series, 800 series, 1000 series, 300 & 3000 series, 500 & 5000 series Minolta , 3xi, 4xi, 5xi, 7xi, 300SI series, 500SI series Agfa Isola, Agfa Silette, Agfa Click, Agfa Clack, Canomatic, Agfa Instamatic Kodak Instamatic, Kodak point shoot, Kodak instant cameras Polaroid Swinger, Vision, Colorpack, Polaroid 100 series, EE-series, Zip Olympus OM101 / 707 (unless complete sets), Olympus IS series APS cameras Russian Zenit SLR and Praktica SLR camera (unless sets with 3 lenses) Analogue flash units not in bulk, flash units from Mamen, Jinnet, Mcoplus, Yongnuo LED macro ring flash No items with swastikas or Nazi propaganda made after the Second World War

11 Condition Mint (in new, working state, unused) Near mint ( used and in working state with no visual signs of use) Very good (used and in working state with minor signs of use) To be of interest to bidders, items should be in good working condition. Highly collectable cameras and equipment made before 1950 may be offered in non-working condition, e.g. cameras without film and plates. Good (used and in working condition with visible signs of use and minor defects (e.g. Good condition, the glass has a little haze))

13 Submission Guidelines Potential buyers are more likely to bid on lots with a good description, all relevant information displayed clearly and, of course, beautiful photos. Lot description To help encourage potential buyers to bid on your lot, you should include a detailed description of your object(s). This should be thorough and honest, and follow the guidelines on the next page.

14 Lot description If you are using our website to upload your lots, tips will appear to give you guidance about what information we need to know about your lot. The fields that you fill in help to present the information in a way that s easy for the buyer to read. The required information includes: Object/camera type Lens type Brand Lens mount type Film type Condition Serial number: This is particularly relevant for professional equipment and high value items (e.g. from Rollei, Hasselblad, Alpa or Leica) Additional details required for digital cameras: For digital single lens reflex cameras, the shutter count is a kind of odometer. It is of great importance for the value of a camera to add this information to the lot description. You can use the following websites to determine the shutter count: or

15 Submission Guidelines Including strong photographs is key to catching buyers eyes, ensuring they bid on your lot. Of course, buying online means potential bidders do not get a chance to see your lot in person, therefore detailed and high quality photographs are very important. Photographs To allow our experts, as well as our bidders, to get the right impression of an item, we require a minimum of 5 high quality photos, giving: a 360 degree view of the item close-ups of important details, according to the guidelines on the next page

16 Image Guidelines Photograph your item in front of a plain and neutral background, preferably a white wall. Only show the item(s) you want to put up for auction. Avoid any bare hands or self-portraits. If you offer several items, please add an overview image including all items, as well as photos of each item individually. Provide specific, in focus, detailed images of all sides of the camera and lenses. Accurately show the condition of the item(s) giving close-up photos that clearly show any signs of wear and tear, visible defects or (minor) damage as well as repaired or restored parts. Please cover or blur any swastikas or offensive marks, runes or SS markings in the photos.
