DG-SC3800P IP Camera provides 3 Megapixel high-resolution video quality. With the advanced megapixel lens, you can view images remotely in more detail than conventional close-circuit cameras. 3

3 RESET When the IP camera is not functioning properly, you can use a pen or similar object to press this reset button to reset the IP camera.

8 5 ETHERNET (PoE support) Connects to your local area network by Ethernet cable. Getting power from this Ethernet port if this device connects to PoE switch. 6 SD card slot Insert SD card for video recording. Maximum 32GB of SDHC card supported. 9 Camera Installation Hardware 1. Fix the wall mounting metal plate A on the wall, secure it by 4 screws at the screw holes indicated by black arrows. You can fix it upside-down when required. 9

10 2. Insert wall mounting metal plate B into the slot at the bottom of this IP camera by the direction indicated by black arrow. 3. Fix wall mounting metal plate B by 2 screws. 10

11 4. Insert the IP camera (with wall mounting metal plate B installed) into wall mounting metal plate A, which is already fixed on the wall. 5. Fix the IP camera on the wall by screwing wall mounting metal plate A and B together at the place indicated by black arrow. 11

12 When mounted on the wall, cables can pass through wall mounting metal plate A as indicated by the picture below. 6. Insert Ethernet cable in the Ethernet port of this IP camera. If the other terminal of the cable is connected to a PoE switch then the device will get power from the Ethernet cable and the power adaptor is no more required. 12

13 7. Insert DI/DO signal cable(s) into DI/DO port of this IP camera. If you don t have DI/DO accessories, you can skip this step. 8. Insert AC power adapter s cable into DC12V port of this IP camera. The LED s should light up after few seconds, and the IP camera will test its Pan/Tilt motor within 1 minute (Do not disturb IP camera at this stage). Please refer to the following sections for detailed operating instructions. 13

14 Web Management of the Camera You must know the IP address of IP Camera before you can connect to it. The IP Camera will use DHCP server on your local network to obtain an IP address automatically by default. So, you can check your DHCP server s IP address lease table to find the IP address of IP Camera. You can also use the utility named IPFinder.exe to find the IP address of IP Camera, which is located on CD-ROM: Press Discover button to search for all IP Cameras on your local network (make sure all IP Cameras are powered on and are connected to the local network first). When you find any IP Camera, you can click on it and click Link button to connect to it by your web browser. 14

Click OK button or press ENTER key on your keyboard when you finish entering username and password.

15 When you know the IP address of IP Camera, you can connect to it through Internet Explorer web browser by entering its IP address in address bar. The user login screen as shown below will appear when you get connected: IP Camera s administrator username and password are both admin (lower case) by default. Click OK button or press ENTER key on your keyboard when you finish entering username and password. When you connect to IP Camera for the first time, you ll see the following message: This message prompts you to install ActiveX plugin before you can see the video from IP Camera. For IE 8: Right click the indication bar and click: Run Add-on to install ActiveX plugin. 15

16 After ActiveX plugin is installed, you should be able to see the video stream from camera. Congratulations! Now you can start Advanced Configuration. 16

17 Camera Installation Software Insert the set up CD into your CD ROM drive of notebook/desktop computer. Run the Setup.exe file program. The wizard as shown below will appear. 17

18 The screen as shown below will appear. Click Next to continue. Now, click on Install as shown below. 18

19 Please wait while installation is being performed. This may take few minutes, please be patient. Second part of installation will start automatically. 19

20 A new setup window will appear, please click Next button to continue. Now, click on Next as shown below. 20

22 Click Finish when you see this message. MSDE (Microsoft SQL Database Engine) installation procedure will start at the same time. Please wait until it completes. 22

23 Following screen will appear. Click on Finish. A new icon will appear on your computer s desktop, you can double click on it to start SKYROS iview. 23

24 Following are the solutions to problems that may occur during the installation and operation of the Digisol DG-SC3800P IP Camera. 1. Cannot access the IP camera. Please make sure the IP camera is correctly powered. (the Power LED should be on) Please confirm the IP address setting of the computer you're using. If the IP Camera and the laptop are not in the same subnet, they will not be able to communicate with each other. Please modify the IP address of the laptop to match the subnet of the IP camera. In case, the IP address of the IP camera is not known, reset it to factory default value by pressing 'reset' button on the IP camera. If you're trying to connect to the IP camera from Internet, please make sure the port that IP camera uses is not blocked by firewall or other software / hardware. Contact DIGISOL helpdesk, if above solutions do not work. 2. Image refreshes very slowly. Try a higher frame rate setting, if it's not 30fps. Try a lower resolution. If you're connecting this camera from Internet, it could be caused by a slow Internet connection, and it's not a problem caused by camera. However, when the network connection is slow, you should use lower frame rate / resolution. Contact DIGISOL helpdesk, if above solutions do not work. This product comes with One Year warranty.
