The camera auto-activation system is triggered when a firearm is drawn, so the officer no longer has to decide to first turn on the camera or draw the weapon. HOW THE CAMERA AUTO-ACTIVATION SYSTEM WORKS FIREARM DRAW As an officer removes their firearm from the Safariland 7TS holster, the camera auto-activation system is triggered, activating the VIEVU body-worn camera. RELIABLE CONNECTIONS Both wired and wireless connection options ensure consistent autoactivation. CAMERA ACTIVATION Initiated by the firearm draw, the camera automatically begins recording until stopped by the officer. Also available in wired configuration 8 SAFARILAND.COM EVENT PRE-RECORD Once the firearm is drawn, every critical moment is captured, including, with the LE5 camera, up to 3 minutes prior and 1 minute post.
