3 History of BMI Development began in 1986 at Georgia State University with the support of the Georgia Chapter and the CMAA Board of Directors. First program offered in February 1988 at Georgia State University with 40 managers participating. To-date, approximately 450 programs with approximately 11,000 managers participating. 3

12 BMI International Moves (has been held in Dornach, Scotland; Dublin, Ireland; St. Andrews, Scotland, London, England, Stockholm, Sweden, Shanghai, China and Montreal, Canada) One time per year in October 50 to 100 managers. 12

13 BMI Certification Review Course Georgia State University Two times per year in November and January. No limit on number of attendees (typically 30 to 40 managers). 13

15 BMI Food and Wine Experience Culinary Institute of America at Greystone. Rotates every few years between CIA and Portland, Oregon 36 managers. 15

23 Certification Maintenance Requirement CCM awarded for a period of five years Must earn at least 120 certification credits during the five year period for maintenance of the CCM ½ of the 120 credits must be National or Branch Education credits 23

26 Beyond the CCM Honour Society 400 credits beyond the CCM, either BMI IV or BMI V Certified Club Executive (CCE) Honour Society status, both BMI IV and V, 5 years as the senior club manager Master Club Manager (MCM) submission of monograph based on research project and presentation at conference 26
