2 Academic Year National Conference: Department of Computer Science and Engineering has organized a two days National Conference on the topic Recent Trends in Computing and Communication Technologies on 28 th February Chief guest of the event is Shri. Gurumoorthy Ganesan, Sr. Delivery Project Manager, IBM India and guest of honor is Dr. Susan Elias, Associate Professor, School of Electronics Engineering (SENSE) VIT University - Chennai Campus has delivered a key note address on the topic Deep Learning. Around 70 papers have been received and 45 papers have been shortlisted for presentation. The papers are presented in various tracks such as Network Communication, Network Security, High Performance Computing and Information processing. Welcome address was given by Mr.Yuvaraj student president. Various technical events organized during the symposium include paper presentation, technical quiz, debugging, web designing and adzap. Workshop Workshop on Hands On Training in Android Mobile Application Development was organized by the department of CSE during March 11 th -12 th, March Around 120 participants from other eminent institutions and our institution has participated in the event. Mr. Madhavan, Freelancer Consultant has trained the participants in developing and deploying Android Mobile Applications.

7 Academic Year International Conference The department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a two days International Conference on Big Data and Cloud Computing during March 26 th -27 th, Chief guest Dr. Dong Jin Song, Professor Department of Computer Science, School of Computing, National University of Singapore has delivered a keynote address on the topic Event Analytics. Guest of honor Dr. Susan Elias, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Chennai has delivered a key note address on the topic Design of Smart Environment and the role of big data. Around 120 papers are received and 80 papers are selected for presentation in various tracks such as Big Data Storage, Big Data Mining and Analysis, Big Data and Cloud Computing and Applications of Big Data. SYMPOSIUM: RECKON2K14 a national level technical symposium was organized by the department of CSE and IT on 17 th October 2014 in the main block seminar hall,

WORKSHOP: Workshop on DOTNET and Java Programming was organized by the department of CSE during 26 th February, Around 70 candidates has participated in the event. Mr. Venkat, Kaashiv Infotech Technologies, Chennai has trained the participants in developing and deploying Advanced Java programming and.net technologies. Workshop on BOSS MOOL Linux Operating System was organized by the department of CSE on 15 th September, Around 113 candidates has participated in the event. Resource persons from C-DAC, Chennai has trained the participants in BOSS MOOL Linux operating system developed by IIT-M in association with C-DAC Chennai.

Around 60 papers have been received and 40 papers have been shortlisted for presentation.
