INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION KGS Certification provides the quality management system, environmental management system and occupational health and safety management system certification body performed under the standard ISO/IEC Certification symbols which can be used by organizations certified by KGSC(B)L are logo of KGSC(B)L, logo in accreditation mark. Use of AB mark gives confidence to the market that KGSC(B)L is in compliance with established accreditation criteria and applicable logo KGSC(B)L gives confidence that management system of organization is in compliance with international standard requirements. Accreditation mark and logo KGSC(B)L are used in certification schemes accredited by AB under the standards ISO 9001, and/or ISO 14001, and/or OHSAS Logo of KGSC(B)L is used in certification schemes accredited in management system under standards ISO 9001, and/or ISO 14001, and/or ISO/TS 29001, or/and OHSAS. 2. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS During surveillance audits KGSC(B)L carries out strict control over use of KGSC(B)L logo and AB mark according to requirements of clause 2, 4 and 5 of this instruction. Certified organization can use KGSC(B)L logo separately or together with AB mark but there must not be any ambiguity about symbols or accompanying text with regards to what was certified and what Certification Body granted certification. It is forbidden to apply certification symbols on products or product packaging that a purchaser can see or by any other way that can be interpreted as a sign of product conformity. It is forbidden to apply certification symbols on results of laboratory testing, certificates, on calibration or inspection reports since these reports in this context are considered a product. Annex 1 gives guidelines on use of certification symbols to identify that the products are made within certified Quality Management System. KGSC(B)L will take appropriate measures in case of inadequate references to certification system or incorrect use of certification symbols found in promotional materials, prospects and etc. These measures can include corrective actions, certification withdrawal, publication of violation and, if necessary, other legal measures. Certified organization shall: implement all requirements specified in Management Systems Certification Scheme ISO 9001:2015, and/or ISO/TS 29001:2007, and/or ISO14001:2015 and/or OHSAS 18001:2007 and rules of use of certification symbols given in this document. not use obtained certification in a way discrediting KGSC(B)L and AB and shall not make any statements relating to its certification which could be considered by KGSC(B)L or by AB as misleading and illegal. not use or allow to use certification documents or any of its part by misleading way. revise all promotional materials when certification scope is reduced PREPARED BY: Head (MSCD) APPROVED BY: C.E.O PAGE : 3 OF 10

4 not allow the reference to certification of its management system to be made in a way implying that certification body certifies products (including services) or a process. stop using all promotional materials and return certification materials as KGSC(B)L requires in case of certification withdrawal. does not use its certification in such a manner that would bring KGSC(B)L and/or certification system into disrepute and lose public trust. 3. KGSC(B)L LOGO AND AB ACCREDITATION MARK KGSC(B)L logo is a symbol used by a certified organization to inform of its certified status. Under the logo of KGSC(B)L there must be stated a standard (standards), against which an organization management system is certified. KGSC(B)L logo is registered in the Patent and Trade Office of the Bangladesh. Accreditation mark is a symbol used by KGSC(B)L to communicate its accredited status. KGSC(B)L uses AB accreditation mark which is combination of AB logo with identification of the accredited area of KGSC(B)L (MGMT.SYS) and registration number. Annex 2 gives a description of KGSC(B)L logo. Annex 3 gives a description of AB accreditation mark. 4. USE OF KGSC(B)L LOGO AND AB ACCREDITATION MARK 4.1. GENERAL REGULATIONS Certified organisations which were granted KGSC(B)L conformity certificate can only use KGSC(B)L logo and AB accreditation mark in accordance with present regulations. There should not be any impression that certified organization is accredited by AB. The use of KGSC(B)L logo can only be in combination with logo and/or name of certified organization. The use of accreditation mark is only possible in combination with KGSC(B)L logo together with logo and/or name of certified organisation. The use of certification symbols in combination of logo and names of other organisations is not permitted. Exception to this is use of KGSC(B)L logo in combination with logo or name of other Certification Body which had certified the organisation. Certification symbols shall be printed on one side, above or under logo of certified organization and shall not be more visible than organization s logo. For the use of KGSC(B)L logo and accreditation mark on electronic documents the same rules as stated in this regulation apply. KGSC(B)L is authorised to assess the use of the KGSC(B)L logo and accreditation mark and to check whether the use complies with this regulation. The organisation shall give all necessary co-operations for these assessments. The following paragraphs specify the rules for the use of certification symbols. The use of certification symbols under the items not described in this document is not discouraged. For this however written approval from the head of KGSC(B)L is required. 5 4.2. DOCUMENTS AND PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS Promotional materials Certified organisations may use KGSC(B)L logo with accreditation mark on promotional materials in case these materials refer at least in part to certified activities. This means that it should be clear which activities are certified. In these cases the accreditation mark and KGSC(B)L logo may only be used together with the logo or the name of the certified organization Letters and other documents Certified organisations may use KGSC(B)L logo in combination with accreditation mark and its own logo on letters. Outwardly the certification symbols shall not be more conspicuous than the organization own logo or its printed name. In accompanying letters, price-lists and the like which not only refer to certified activities, KGSC(B)L logo and accreditation mark may be used, provided that it is obvious which activities are certified and which are not. This also applies to the documents that are sent together with accompanying letters. Whenever KGSC(B)L logo and the accreditation mark are used on price-lists, estimates and that sort of things which refer to activities outside the scope of management system certification of the organisation, then the following sentence shall be included in the document: Certification of KGSC(B)L is not applicable to the activities in [this document]. For (this document) the type of document shall be typed (price-list, estimate of expenditures and etc.) Business cards The use of accreditation mark and KGSC(B)L logo on business cards by the certified organization staff is not permitted Certificates Certificates granted to a certified organisation shall have KGSC(B)L logo and accreditation mark. The use of accreditation mark on conformity certificate is the only guarantee for the organization s clients that the certificate was issued under AB accreditation. In case a certified organisation wishes a certificate without the accreditation mark, then the certificate should at least include the name of the accreditation body and the registration number of the Certification Body Product packaging or accompanying information Product packaging is considered as that which can be removed without the product disintegrating or being damaged. Accompanying information is considered as separately available or easily detachable. Type labels or identification plates are considered as part of the product. 6 statement shall in no way imply that the product, process or service is certified by this means. The statement shall include reference to: - identification (e.g. brand or name) of the certified client; - the type of management system (e.g. quality, environment) and the applicable standard; - the certification body issuing the certificate. 5. PARTICULARITIES IN THE USE OF THE ACCREDITATION MARK AND KGSC(B)L LOGO SUSPENSION OF CERTIFICATION In case the certification is suspended for all or part of the certification scope in the certified organization, then the organization shall not use certification results on suspended activities. The use of KGSC(B)L logo and accreditation mark on letters, other than quotations, proposals, reports, or declarations is permitted during the time of suspension, for no longer then 6 months from the day of suspension TERMINATION OF CERTIFICATION Upon termination of the certification, the organisation shall immediately stop publishing and distributing documents bearing KGSC(B)L logo and accreditation mark NON-CERTIFIED ACTIVITIES Certified organisations shall not state or suggest certification for non-certified activities. In particular: an organisation which holds certification for only part of its activities may use KGSC(B)L logo and accreditation mark provided that there is no confusion as to which part of the activities has been certified. whenever an organisation is composed of several branches among which at least one has not been granted certification, only branches specified in the scope of certification shall use KGSC(B)L logo and accreditation mark, provided the work is performed at these branches. 6. LOGO IN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM The rules of logo use in MSC are the same as the rules of KGSC(B)L logo and accreditation mark use, specified in par.4 and 5. The description of logo in management system is specified in annex MISUSE OF KGSC(B)L, MSC LOGO AND ACCREDITATION MARK The use of KGSC(B)L, MSC logo and accreditation mark by organisations not holding a valid KGSC(B)L conformity certificate shall be considered misuse. Also improper and misleading use of KGSC(B)L, MSC logo and accreditation mark by organisations referred to in chapter 4, will be considered as misuse. 7 8. CHANGING IN THE REGULATIONS KGSC(B)L may decide to change these regulations. Organisations will be informed of any change in the regulations in writing immediately. 9. DOCUMENTATION Organization shall develop own procedure of the use of KGSC(B)L, MSC logo and accreditation mark of accreditation body. 8 ANNEX 1 ON THE APPLICATION OF CERTIFICATION SYMBOLS TO IDENTIFY THAT THE PRODUCTS ARE MADE WITHIN CERTIFIED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Note: the certification symbols are accreditation mark and KGSC(B)L, MSC logo. Statement in words alone does not make mark identifiable. Any such wording should be true and not mislead. 4* - This could be clear statement that (This product) was manufactured in a plant which quality management system is certified as being in conformity with ISO 9001:2015, and /or ISO/TS 29001, ISO 14001:2015, and /or OHSAS 18001: * - When using symbols and logos, adequate attention should be paid to avoid violation of clause 2 General Requirements of the document I/08. 9 KGSC(B)L logo since January 2015 Since January 2015 KGSC(B)L logo given in this Annex is used. Color combination of the logo is given below. ANNEX 2 Slate Blue White Smoke Dark Orange Logo color code: ANNEX 3 XXX XXX designation of a standard (standards), on conformity to which an organization management system is certified. The maximum size of logo on documents shall not exceed 34mm х 34mm (width х height). Print Times New Roman, half bold type, interval between the letters 2,8 pt. Ranging of logo is admitted, but the minimum size shall not be less 10 mm x 10 mm. Note: If a certificate is issued for a management system based on design, then designation «ХХХ» is not applied.
