The newest facility at our UK Head Office in Harrogate will more than double the current floor space of our existing training facility and will include a large practical training area with blasting and spraying facilities together with a practical training/ demonstration classroom and a new fully equipped presentation suite. 7 OUR APPROACH TO TRAINING As a part of our commitment to improving the application standards of Belzona materials globally, Belzona offer a thorough Training Programme to provide experienced applicators with the theoretical and practical knowledge required for achieving effective and consistent application of Belzona products. THEORETICAL LEARNING To maximise the time spent gaining hands-on experience, we have developed an online learning programme. These online pre-requisite modules allow attendees to understand the theoretical aspects and test their knowledge prior to visiting a Belzona Training Centre. VALIDATED COURSES The Belzona Validated Training Programme has been designed to test and confirm applicator s competency. Applicators who successfully pass the course are issued with a card and certificate, validating them in the application of associated Belzona systems. AWARENESS COURSES Held at one of our state of the art Global Training Centres, our practical training courses provide hands-on experience under qualified supervision. Whether it is a storage tank, process vessel, pipe or pump application, we provide rigorous training programmes for all industrial areas. This five-day course furnishes attendees with the skills required to specify the right Belzona solutions, sell their unique features and benefits to clients and gives an overview of the simple application techniques that makes Belzona materials the global first choice Classroom and lab based activities include topics such as: Training on the basic modes of damage which Belzona products strive to repair and resist Understanding of polymeric materials, surface preparation and inspection of coatings, backed up with practical exercises Introduction to the primary Belzona product ranges as well as in-depth discussions on the key products within each range Live product demonstrations where attendees will mix and apply Belzona materials under the guidance of application experts Sales techniques developed and proven by successful Belzona salespersons incorporating years of experience Other modules include Belzona literature and tools, practical mathematics, and building effective relationships with clients

10 BELZONA SPECIALISED TRAINING awareness i n t r o d u c t o r y I N T R A I N G MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT AWARENESS TRAINING COURSE This one-day event provides an overview, specific to repair and protection of machinery and equipment using Belzona systems. Areas covered include surface preparation, rotating equipment, fluid handling equipment, metal repair materials and elastomeric repair materials. The training event is practically focused and aimed at asset owners, contractors and applicators that will carry out these repairs.

11 BELZONA SPECIALISED TRAINING awareness i n t r o d u c t o r y I N T R A I N G CHOCKING AND SHIMMING APPLICATOR TRAINING COURSE The 1/2 day training course furnishes attendees with the skills required to install Belzona On completion of a series of practical demonstrations, attendees are required to chock an example piece using Belzona A theoretical exam will also be completed by all attendees to ensure thorough understanding of the training material. DESIGNER TRAINING COURSE Where required, an additional one day designer training course is available which provides attendees with the knowledge to calculate and design a successful system in accordance with the DNV GL classification society requirements.* *Required Pre-requisites: Attend and complete the Application Training Course Practical mathematics

12 BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES AWARENESS TRAINING BELZONA SPECIALISED TRAINING awareness i n t r o d u c t o r y I N T R A I N G This one-day event covers the repair and protection of buildings and structures using Belzona systems. Areas covered include surface preparation, fabric maintenance of roofs, walls and floors, as well as other common problem areas in building maintenance. This practical course is aimed at asset owners, contractors and applicators that carry out these repairs. VALIDATED TRAINING BELZONA SPECIALISED TRAINING VALIDATED a d va n c e d i f l e v e l c e r t i o n i c at This two-day Validated Training course follows on from the Awareness Training. It provides additional indepth information, technical understanding, hands on training as well as qualification and certification. The course focuses on surface preparation methods along with the wide range of Belzona systems, such as Belzona 3000 Polymeric Membranes, 4000 Construction Polymers and the 5000 Environmental Barrier systems.

13 BELZONA SPECIALISED TRAINING VALIDATED a d va n c e d i f l e v e l c e r t i o n i c at FLANGE FACE FORMING AND NOZZLE INSERTS Our unique technique for the restoration of flange faces and protection of small bore nozzles using Belzona s robust materials is delivered as a one day validated training course. Both technologies are covered in detail including theoretical presentations, detailed practical sessions and an examination to prove competence and gain validation. These courses can be offered as individual half day events if required. FLANGE FACE FORMING TRAINING COURSE During the course, applicators will be shown how to carry out this repair using a simple forming technique with either a rebated former or a duplicate flange with shims. Attendees are then required to repair a flange according to Belzona s standard for flange face forming using techniques learnt during the course. NOZZLE INSERT TRAINING COURSE Attendees will gain knowledge and skills required to bond prefabricated Belzona inserts into small bore nozzles. Attendees will dry-fit and then apply a full Belzona nozzle insert system. Upon the product reaching its full cure, this is then removed and inspected in order to check for misses or incorrect application techniques.

15 BELZONA SPECIALISED TRAINING VALIDATED VESSEL LININGS a d va n c e d i f l e v e l c e r t i o n i c at HAND APPLIED COATINGS TRAINING This training course is designed for applicators who will apply Belzona materials using hand tools and covers surface preparation, quality control, pit filling, stripe coating, application and inspection of coatings. This is a very thorough practical course with validation being determined by the completion of a coated panel within predefined criteria. PLURAL COMPONENT AIRLESS SPRAY TRAINING Available as a standalone course for technicians previously qualified in the use of Belzona products with single component airless spray equipment. Training includes the use and efficient running of a Belzona spray application using plural component equipment. SINGLE COMPONENT AIRLESS SPRAY TRAINING This course qualifies experienced applicators in the intricacies of spraying Belzona products using single component heated airless spray equipment. This is a highly technical course which includes theoretical and practical elements including application technique, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. SPIN SPRAY AND LININGS TRAINING Available as an addition to either of the above spray training courses. Designed for technicians qualified on using Belzona products with single or plural component airless spray equipment, we provide training on the use of Belzona products with spin spray pipe lining equipment. Training covers metering, application setup and technical aspects of applying pipe linings using airless spin spray equipment.

16 BELZONA SPECIALISED TRAINING VALIDATED a d va n c e d i f l e v e l c e r t i o n i c at BELZONA SUPERWRAP II BELZONA SUPERWRAP II INSTALLER TRAINING COURSE This course provides the experienced applicator with the specific theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to effectively apply a Belzona composite pipe repair system compliant to ISO/ASME standards. Trainees complete pre-requisite modules before carrying out repairs at a Belzona Training Centre. *Required Pre-requisites Minimum of 18 years of age Two years of application experience using composite materials Complete and pass all set online pre-requisite modules BELZONA SUPERWRAP II SUPERVISOR TRAINING COURSE Also in full accordance with the associated standards, the Supervisor training course provides the additional information and knowledge required to supervise installations of Belzona SuperWrap II on to Class 2 and Class 3 type repairs. Theoretical and practical sessions are capped off with an examination. Full validation also requires supervision of a Belzona SuperWrap II project. *Required Pre-requisites Completion of Belzona SuperWrap II Installer Training Course BELZONA SUPERWRAP II DESIGNER TRAINING COURSE Designers are trained to apply the technical criteria associated with piping system parameters to create wrap designs from scratch. The training covers the design methodology for each defect type and geometry. Pre-Requisites Attendance on an invitation only basis
