PROGRAMME OVERVIEW The BSc (Hons) Computing is a degree programme offered by Coventry University. Successful completion carries the same academic status as that offered to Coventry s on-campus graduates. This programme provides you with the chance to obtain key knowledge and skills required for your future career in a wide range of technology related areas - from systems analysis and programming to internet application development and user experience design. Focusing on professional skills and portfolio development, alongside project management and team working skills, this programme also enables you to develop the optimum mix of professional qualities which give you a competitive edge in the job market. 2 COMPUTING AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Candidates must hold one of the qualifications listed below: Higher Diploma from VTC in a relevant IT subject; or a qualification equivalent to the above*. All candidates must be able to demonstrate competence equivalent to an HKCEE Grade E or HKDSE Level 2 in Mathematics. * Subject to final approval by Coventry University ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS All candidates must be able to demonstrate competence equivalent to an HKCEE Syllabus B Grade E/Level 2 or HKDSE Level 2 in English Language. ASSESSMENT Assessment is based on coursework, examination, presentation and final project. QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK BSc (Hons) Computing is recognised under the Qualifications Framework (QF) ( QF Level Level 5 QR Registration No. 14/002777/L5 Validity Period 01/09/ /08/2022 This programme accredited by the HKCAAVQ enjoys similar status of locally-accredited honours bachelor s degree programmes.
