Massive Bandwidth Designed with a 180 Gbps full duplex backplane, the Trident7 OLT provides unparalleled capabilities for meeting bandwidth-intensive requirements of services such as peer-topeer applications and IPTV. Unlike copper-based legacy access systems that are modified to deliver FTTP, the Trident7 OLT is optimally designed for optical access networks, thereby ensuring sufficient bandwidth is available to serve existing and future service applications. High Density The Trident7 OLT provides the highest density FTTP solution in the industry. Its highly scalable architecture supports up to 18 PON interface modules. Using 64-way splits on each PON, Trident7 can support up to 4,608 Optical Network Terminals (ONTs) per OLT shelf or 13,824 ONTs per 7 bay. Integrated Aggregation Switching & Resiliency Trident7 OLTs include either one or two embedded multilayer aggregation switches, thus eliminating the need to purchase and manage expensive third party aggregation platforms. These Platform Switch Modules (PSMs) provide up to 10 Gbps of network connectivity, wire-speed Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching and full VLAN and Q-in-Q VLAN stacking support.
