Active Port Power Saving Edgecore Green Friendly technology can automatically detect the link status and cut off power for a given port during periods of inactivity. If network devices connected to the switch are turned off, an Edgecore Green Friendly Switch can save up to 59.3% of the power budget. Cable Length Power Saving Edgecore Green Friendly Technology can actively detect the presence of a shorter Ethernet cable. Thus determining the appropriate power level based on cable length so there will be less power consumed as the link distance shortens. If the cable length is less than 20 metres, an Edgecore Green Saving Switch can save up to 7.5% of the power budget. The switches can be deployed in different target network topologies, from small to large. Besides powerful software features, the switch series provide a complete solution from 1G to 10G, including both non-poe and PoE options. The ECS2100 Series supports 8 and 24, 10/100/1000BASE-T ports, with each switch supporting 2 or 4 Gigabit SFP ports. As well as IPv4 and IPv6 features, the ECS2100 supports L3 static routing.
