1 Sendyne Sensing Products Family Sendyne SFP102MOD Precision Current Measurement Module Description The Sendyne SFP102MOD is a shunt-based precision current measurement module. The 100-μΩ shunt with molded enclosure is provided by Vishay Dale. The module is designed around the Sendyne SFP102 IC and achieves an accuracy of ±0.25 % for current measurement over the whole operating temperature range of 40 C to +125 C. The module simultaneously measures bi-directional DC current through the shunt, voltage, and temperature as well as incorporates separate charge, discharge and total Coulomb counters. The SFP102 IC provides automatic compensation for resistance dependence of the shunt on temperature. Communication is achieved via a LIN-like serial interface. 5 Evaluation Kit An evaluation kit is available for Sendyne SFP102MOD. The kit contains the SFP102MOD, a USB to serial adapter with isolated power supply and communication lines, and a module interface cable. Please see the ordering section of this document for details. Evaluation Software The Sendyne SFP102SFT evaluation software is available for download from the SFP102 product page. This application runs under Windows 7 (or later) operating system. In addition to exercising all measurement modes and programmable settings in the SF102MOD, the software provides real-time strip-chart graphs for the measurements, as well as the ability to continuously log (save) all measurements for an indefinite time duration, and re-display then later.
