Security information Siemens provides products and solutions with industrial security functions that support the secure operation of plants, systems, machines and networks. In order to protect plants, systems, machines and networks against cyber threats, it is necessary to implement and continuously maintain a holistic, state-of-the-art industrial security concept. Siemens products and solutions only form one element of such a concept. Customer is responsible to prevent unauthorized access to its plants, systems, machines and networks. Systems, machines and components should only be connected to the enterprise network or the internet if and to the extent necessary and with appropriate security measures (e.g. use of firewalls and network segmentation) in place. Additionally, Siemens guidance on appropriate security measures should be taken into account. For more information about industrial security, please visit Siemens products and solutions undergo continuous development to make them more secure. Siemens strongly recommends to apply product updates as soon as available and to always use the latest product versions. Use of product versions that are no longer supported, and failure to apply latest updates may increase customer s exposure to cyber threats. Information on how to install the PROFIBUS PA can be found in the "Technical Guideline PROFIBUS PA, User and Installation Guideline". Available from the PROFIBUS User Organization ( DANGER Danger of explosion Sparks may be caused when connecting under particular circumstances. These are a potential cause of fire. Therefore, use a non-magnetic screwdriver when connecting the cables! DANGER Danger of explosion A tensile load on the screws of the can impair the degree of protection and is not permitted. Implement a fixed cable installation at the cable entry! WARNING Risk to intrinsic safety If a connection is attached wrongly in the (PA main line <--> spur lines) or the cable is incorrectly connected to the PA field devices, the intrinsic safety is put at risk: Only connect Ex i electric circuits (intrinsically safe PA field devices) to the spur lines! Check the wiring of the PA field devices. IP30 cover The connections of the PA main cables within the enclosure of the are sealed off with an IP30 cover. Opening the IP30 cover interrupts the voltage supply to the terminals and the supply lines. Depending on the zone in which the is located, you are permitted to open the IP30 cover during operation for a visual inspection. Entry ID: , V1.0, 11/2016 3

Siemens AG 2016 All rights reserved 1 Task and solution 1.1 Modifying the system with extended fieldbus diagnosis 1 Task and solution 1.1 Modifying the system with extended fieldbus diagnosis The extended fieldbus diagnosis (from now on, EFD) for the PROFIBUS PA segment provide the user with numerous new diagnostic options. Due to this diagnosis and the resulting structure of the PA segment, a certain procedure must be followed when changing the system. This procedure is important because devices cannot be reached if the procedure is not carried out properly. What must be observed if a PA segment with configured EFD is extended or downsized by an? 1.2 Procedure for modifying the system This document describes the general procedure for modifying the system of a PROFIBUS PA segment with configured EFD. It includes a description of how to proceed with extending or removing an in case of system extension or downsizing, in consideration of the different supported network topologies. Each topology has a description with dedicated steps to follow: Wiring the field distributors Adjusting the hardware configuration Modifying the topology in SIMATIC PDM Entry ID: , V1.0, 11/2016 6

Siemens AG 2016 All rights reserved 2 Basics 2.1 What is Extended Fieldbus Diagnosis 2 Basics 2.1 What is Extended Fieldbus Diagnosis A system is called an EFD system when the following requirements are met by all components involved in communication with the field devices: All components (interface module (IM 153-2), couplers (FDC 157), field distributors ()) support EFD. Components are configured for EFD use. Product Product name Article number Version Interface module Coupler Field distributor IM (interface module) 6ES7153-2BA70-0XB0 V6.1 FDC 157 (Field Device Coupler) (Active Field Distributor intrinsic Safety with extended fieldbus Diagnosis function) 6ES7157-0AC85-0XA0 6ES7655-5DX60-1BB0 The EFD enables the configuring and comprehensive diagnosis of the entire bus segment: Interface module Coupler Field distributor Connecting cables between the components (AS, bus link and field devices) If the bus link is configured exclusively with EFD-capable components, you can take advantage of the benefits of the extended field bus diagnosis: Rugged infrastructure components - higher ruggedness of the complete system Diagnostic information for reliable commissioning of the fieldbus installation Diagnostic messages in PCS 7 Alarm handling in SIMATIC PDM Consistent information flow of the system status diagnostics Preventive maintenance measures during operation to prevent system downtimes Entry ID: , V1.0, 11/2016 7

Siemens AG 2016 All rights reserved 2 Basics 2.2 EFD system 2.2 EFD system How does EFD function? The interface module (IM 153-2) maps the status information of the entire connected bus segment. The installed couplers (FDC 157) and active field splitters/distributors (AFS and ) determine the status of the connected lines and the physical data of the bus segment and communicates this to the interface module. The information obtained is then displayed using the PCS 7 Maintenance Station and can be evaluated with SIMATIC PDM. Entry ID: , V1.0, 11/2016 8

Siemens AG 2016 All rights reserved 2 Basics 2.2 EFD system Characteristics of the extended fieldbus diagnosis After startup (POWER ON), the bus link detects and initializes all involved fieldbus components. Requirements: The interface module, couplers and field devices must be configured in STEP 7. Each field distributor is initialized with a reserved identifier that cannot conflict with the address mechanism of the respective fieldbus system. The interface module can determine the data of the connected fieldbus segment, irrespective of the topology (line, ring or star topology) and make it available to the user via SIMATIC PDM. The EFD supplies status indicators for: Bus link (interface module and coupler) Field bus Each connected field distributor ( including the physical layer of the connected spur lines) Entry ID: , V1.0, 11/2016 9

Siemens AG 2016 All rights reserved 3 Topologies 3.1 Line 3 Topologies 3.1 Line The use of a DP/PA link consisting of interface module and DP/PA coupler allows the operation of an PA line. The DP/PA coupler supplies the PA line in this process. PROFIBUS DP IM FDC PROFIBUS PA Entry ID: , V1.0, 11/

Siemens AG 2016 All rights reserved 3 Topologies 3.2 Coupler redundancy 3.2 Coupler redundancy The use of a DP/PA coupler pair and an active field splitter (AFS) enables operation in redundancy mode on the PA line. The active DP/PA coupler FDC supplies the PA line. If a DP/PA coupler fails, it triggers switchover to the partner coupler. The functions of the PA field devices are retained. PROFIBUS DP IM FDC (2x) AFS PROFIBUS PA Entry ID: , V1.0, 11/

Siemens AG 2016 All rights reserved 3 Topologies 3.3 Ring redundancy 3.3 Ring redundancy The use active field distributors and of a DP/PA coupler pair increases the availability of the PA line. Ring redundancy occurs by configuring a ring structure with 2 DP/PA couplers and up to 5 field distributors. The active DP/PA coupler supplies the PA line. In the event of a short-circuit or wire break on the PA main line, the active DP/PA coupler supplies the disconnected PA line in both directions. The functions of the PA field devices are retained. Repairs can be performed during operation. PROFIBUS DP IM FDC (2x) PROFIBUS PA Entry ID: , V1.0, 11/
