We will then claim damages from the forwarder on your behalf. 4 Installation 4.1 Degree of protection IP 65 Attention! The IP 65 degree of protection rating means the inverter is suitable for semi-outdoor installation. To ensure that this degree of protection is complied with, please observe the following: The cover of the inverter must be closed and its seals intact. Penetrations not in use must be sealed with suitable, tight connectors or dummy plugs. They are enclose in the scope of supply. Open the inverter only in dry environment take place. connector caps (MC 4) connector caps (Tyco / MC 4) SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

The higher the temperature, the shorter the service life. The more humid the ambient conditions, the shorter the service life. When drawing up the overall plan for a PV installation, find a good installation position for the inverter. To help you find the optimum location for the inverter, we have listed below the most important criteria you must take into account. To maximise the service life of the inverter, we recommend that you install it either indoors or in a semi-outdoor, i.e. protected outdoor, location. Please pay attention to the ambient conditions also. Make note that the current levels that flow on the generator side of the inverter are lower than those on the grid side. If the cable cross-section is identical on both sides, the losses are therefore greater in the AC cable than in the DC cable. For this reason, it makes sense to position the inverter close to the meter. To enable the pressure-compensation element of the inverter to function correctly, it must not become contaminated and dirty. The purpose of the pressure-compensation element is to ensure that the air inside the inverter can circulate (flow in and out) but moisture cannot penetrate the unit. The maximum installation altitude is 2000 m above sea level. If the unit is to be installed at an altitude higher than this, please contact us. Specific derating factors must be taken into account. If the inverter is to be used in a coastal area, it must be installed indoors. This is because salt spray and salt mist can lead to corrosion of and inside the enclosure. SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Installation The ambient temperature must be between -20 C and +60 C. Normal room temperatures are ideal. High and low ambient temperatures and temperatures that frequently change (e.g. in an attic) have a negative influence on the service life of the inverter. Extreme differences in temperature or extreme cold can lead to the inverter's display fogging up. This fogging disappears again after a short while. Direct sunlight can damage both the display and the keypad permanently. Notice Solutronic AG is not liable for the consequences arising from faulty installation of the inverter! Among these consequences are: Damage to the display and keyboard foil, deterioration of readability Fading of the print on the housing, the look of the housing deteriorates Therefore, chose the place of installation for the inverter so that the device is not directly or indirectly exposed to UV radiation: The device must not be exposed to direct sunlight The device must be protected from reflections by glass facades or PV modules Choose an installation position that makes it easy to install and service the inverter or subsequently install a communication port. For this reason, we strongly advise against using ladders, work platforms or scaffolding to install, replace or service inverters. Please observe occupational health and safety (HSE) regulations when carrying out servicing work on the inverters. Installing the inverter at head height makes it easier to read the display. If you install the inverter in a switch cabinet or the like, install forced ventilation also in order to guarantee adequate heat dissipation. The inverter will most probably emit some noise, so you should avoid installing it in living areas. N.B.: The inverter must never be exposed to ammonia or any other aggressive vapours or gases (such as present in stables)! Ignoring this warning and installing the inverter in such an area shall render any warranty claims invalid. The dealer or fitter who installed the unit shall be liable for all costs incurred during any subsequent servicing/repair work that may be required. SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Installation 4.3 Installing the inverter You require the following tools and parts to install the inverter: 1 power drill 4 screws 4 wall plugs 1 ground cable Screwdriver Note! The wall plugs, screws and ground cable are not included in the scope of delivery, because the types required depend on the wall construction and on the installation conditions on site. The SOLPLUS inverter is mounted to a suitable, plane and solid section of wall with the aid of a mounting bracket. Always leave a clearance of at least 30 cm, or better, 50 cm, above, below and to the nearest inverter, cabinet, ceiling or any other object. In order to prevent any unnecessary overheating, make sure that the inverter has a good inflow of fresh air and that heat generated by the inverter can dissipate. We recommend a lateral clearance of 5 cm between multiple inverters (left and right) and between an inverter and a meter box, cabinet, wall or any other object. The greater the clearance, the better it is for the inverter (the less heat it generates, the cooler it stays in the room and the easier it is to mount on the wall). The wall must be able to carry the weight of the inverter. The inverter and mounting bracket together weigh approx. 45 kg. The wall to which the inverter is mounted must be made of a non-combustible material. The heat sink can reach temperatures in excess of 80 C. Choose an installation position that makes it easy to install the inverter and simple to carry out any subsequent servicing work that may be required. Installing the inverter at head height makes it easier to read the display. SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Installation Step 1 Use the mounting bracket as a template and mark the positions of the holes to be drilled into the wall. Use a spirit level to make sure that the bracket is aligned perpendicular. Step 2 Then use a power drill to drill the holes. (Drill the holes to a diameter and depth appropriate to the wall structure and use appropriate screws). Step 3 Insert the 4 wall plugs (not part of scope of delivery) into the holes. Secure the mounting bracket to the wall with the 4 screws (not part of scope of delivery). The mounting bracket weighs approx. 4 kg. Check that the mounting bracket is fixed securely to the wall. Step 4 Attach the inverter to the mounting bracket by sliding it down from above. The mounting bracket has guide slots that help you attach the SOLPLUS 80-SOLPLUS 120 in the correct position. Note: The inverter is very heavy (40 kg). For your own safety, always work as a team of two when attaching the inverter to and/or detaching it from its mounting bracket. Do NOT rest or prop the inverter on the floor on the side with the connectors. Step 5 Finally, secure the SOLPLUS in position from below by inserting the knurled screws (incl. in scope of delivery) into the holes provided for this purpose in the mounting bracket (see photo, view from below). Check that the inverter is securely mounted! SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Installation 4.4 Dimensions 230 mm 400 mm 620 mm 4.5 Opening and closing the cover Caution! Disconnect the inverter from the DC isolator before you open the cover. Disconnect all AC and DC connectors. Under normal circumstances, it is not necessary to open the cover. All necessary connections are easily accessed from outside the unit. The cover may only be opened if your are expressly ordered to by the Solutronic team. Only specially trained personnel are allowed to open the inverter cover. When opening or closing the inverter, make absolutely certain that the seals do not become damaged and that no moisture or dirt gets into the inverter or onto the seals. Never open the inverter in conditions of high humidity, because this could lead to condensation building up inside the inverter. Note! When closing the cover: You can completely avoid cutting the foam sealing bead by pulling the cover forwards (as far as it will go) using both hands (one on either side), while the cover is still at an inclined angle, and only then moving it upwards. You should position your hands to hold the cover by its bottom edge (close to the tilting pawls) before you start to move it upwards. SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Electrical Connection Warning! The SOLPLUS inverter may only be installed by specially trained personnel. The fitter must have the necessary certification and authorisation of the responsible power utility. Caution! Electrical connection of the inverter, that is, cutting-in of the DC and AC voltages, must be conducted in the sequence described in this manual. Note N.B.: The inverter is not allowed to be installed in a low-voltage system with TT earthing system without previously contacting Solutronic. Separate measures must be taken in the case of a TT earthing system to ensure no problems arise. This requires that the fitter make specific parameter settings that we will provide on request. All safety regulations stipulated, the technical connection conditions of the responsible power utility and the VDE regulations must be complied with. The grid and the PV generator are connected by means of an AC plug connector and various DC solar connectors respectively. Attention! Each transformerless solar inverter can have leakage currents in excess of 30 ma. According to EN 50178, devices with a leakage current > 30 ma must be equipped with an additional, fixed PE conductor connection. Please use the PE screw on the underside of the enclosure to make the connection. Use a yellow-green cable with a cross-section of at least 4 mm 2. Connect the other end of the PE cable to the equipotential bonding strip of the building's fuse box. 5.1 PE connection Connecting the PE conductor Ground connection (second PE conductor connection). Run the cable to the equipotential bonding strip (PE) that is connected to the PE conductor. Pay attention to the order of the washers Please tighten SECURELY. SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Electrical Connection 5.2 AC connection Cable cross-sections and fuses Recommended wire cross-section for cables up to 20 m in length: 4 mm². Larger cross-sections should be used for lengths of cable longer than that. To do this, install a junction box close to the inverter, in which you can switch to a larger cross-section. 4 mm 2 wires can be connected without using end sleeves. The screwed connection in the connector is suitable for this purpose in accordance with VDE According to DIN VDE 0100 Part 430, "Protection of cables against overcurrent", at an ambient temperature of 25 C, with installation method B2 (m ulti-core cable in pipe or duct on or in walls or concealed) should be fuse-protected as follows: Inverter model Recommended fuse rating Minimum wire crosssection Recommended wire cross-section SOLPLUS A 2.5 mm 2 4 mm 2 If you are installing more than one inverter, please leave a minimum clearance of 1 horizontal pitch (HP; approx. 18 mm) between the miniature circuit breakers/fuses. By doing so, you prevent them from tripping each other due to the heat emitted when the power level being fed into the grid is high. Note We recommend that you use a flexible cable with a 4 mm 2 wire crosssection (without end sleeves) or a 2.5 mm 2 cross-section (with or without end sleeves). Caution! Make sure that you use cables with sufficiently large cross-sections in order to not to excessively increase the system impedance (internal impedance of the power supply network) as a result of the cable between the building's distribution cabinet and the respective inverter. Note Please note that an installation on a low-voltage network, which is based on the TT system is not allowed. There will have to be don especial arrangements so that this can be realized. This requires the installer to perform certain parameterizations that we provide on demand. SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Electrical Connection Explanation The system impedance is the sum of the system impedance at the (premises) service connection and all resistance values of the remaining cables and terminal connections. If the system impedance is high, i.e. if the cable on the AC side is long, the voltage at the power supply terminals of the inverter increases when power is being fed into the grid. This voltage is measured by the inverter. If the voltage at the power supply terminals exceeds a defined limit value (default setting: 265 V), the inverter switches off due to system overvoltage. This fact must be taken into account when choosing the AC cable. Please also note that the more the cables heat up, the less power your installation will output Connecting the AC connector Positioned at the bottom on the right-hand side of the unit is the AC connector, Type RST25i5 ( ), manufactured by Wieland Electric. This plug connector meets the requirements for degree of protection IP 65, shock protection, and can carry currents of up to 25 A. In the event of an emergency, it can be disconnected while the installation is up and running. The matching mating connector to which the cable is connected is included with the inverter. It is already disassembled into two parts so that the grid connection cable can be connected directly. Note If you need to take the two connector parts apart again sometime later, open the AC connector by pushing in the safety fasteners with the aid of a screwdriver. The terminals for making the grid connection are located underneath. Attention! Make sure that the power cable is not energised. 19 Electrical Connection Step 1 First bend the cable into shape in order to avoid strain inside the connector! Now strip the cable over a length of approx. 30 mm. Cut all the cores to the same length. Use a cable stripper to remove the insulation from the 5 cores over a length of approx. 8 mm. If you are using a cable with stranded cores, crimp end sleeves onto the 5 stripped cores. Note! Note the minimum bending radius of the cable used. We recommend a bending radius of 10 cm wherever possible. Step 2 The terminals in the AC connector are labelled L, 1, 2, N and PE. After pulling the grid connection cable through the cap nut, connect it to the terminals as illustrated in the diagram. Step 3 Make sure you have connected the cable properly and securely. Now push the two connector parts into one another until the fasteners on both sides lock in position. Then tighten the cap nut (strain relief). Note Ensure that all 5 cores of the grid connection cable are of identical length so that they can all be pushed far enough into the plug connector and properly tightened. Make sure that the cable has good strain relief. The RST25i5 AC connector from Wieland Electric is approved for use with flexible cable with a 4 mm 2 wire cross-section (without end sleeves) or for a 2.5 mm 2 cross-section (with or without end sleeves). We recommend you use cable with 4 mm² stranded cores, because this type of cable is easier to handle and no strain arises that could potentially lead to the contacts being pulled out of the plastic section. Please make absolutely certain that all 5 contacts (1, 2, L, N and PE) are properly locked in position. The following AC connector is installed in the inverter: RST25i5SM01VSW (Order No ) SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Electrical Connection 5.3 DC generator connection DC connector types The SOLPLUS inverter is available with the following DC connector options: Tyco or Multi-Contact (MC4). The photos below illustrate these different connection types. Tyco plug connectors and sockets MC 4 plug connectors and sockets SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Electrical Connection Connecting the DC connectors Warning! Only modules with IEC Protection Class II (double insulated) are allowed to be connected to transformerless inverters. Make sure that your modules conform to this class. In addition, the module frames must be earthed (grounded). Attention! Check that the DC connectors have the correct polarity before you connect them (see photo). Also, before connecting the DC lines to the inverter, measure the open-circuit voltage of the solar generator. The DC voltage must be no higher than 850 V DC. Voltages higher than this will cause irreparable damage to the inverter. Note that the maximum opencircuit voltage is reached during periods of full insolation (intense sunshine) and when the temperature of the modules is low. Dimension your PV installations accordingly. Caution! To ensure maximum safety against hazardous contact voltages (accidental electric shock) when installing PV installations, both the positive and the negative leads must be kept well apart from the ground potential (PE). Before you connect the PC generator to the inverter, make absolutely sure that the PV generator installation is not connected to ground! Note Measure the DC voltage between protective ground (PE) and the positive lead and between protective ground (PE) and the negative lead of the PV generator. If these voltages are stable, then there is a ground fault in the PV generator or its cabling. The ratio between the voltages measured indicates the location of this fault, which you must rectify before carrying out any further measurements! Measure the electrical resistance between protective ground (PE) and the positive lead and between protective ground (PE) and the negative lead of the PV generator. A low resistance value (< 2 MΩ) indicates a highresistance ground fault of the PV generator, which you must rectify below you continue installation! SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Electrical Connection Plug in the DC connectors and make sure that they are properly locked in position. The positive sockets in the inverter are towards the front (cover side) of the unit, the negative sockets towards the back (wall side). Caution Before you connect the DC connectors, check that the cables of the individual strings have not been mixed up. To make sure that this does not happen, we recommend that you number and label each of the positive and negative leads unambiguously. Connect the respective strings to one of the three independently operating trackers. Tracker 1 Tracker 2 Tracker 3 Caution Never disconnect the DC voltage solely by means of the DC connectors described above! Risk of arcing. SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Electrical Connection 5.4 DC isolator as DC disconnecting point Danger! Never disconnect the DC plug connectors from the inverter before you have switched off the inverter. Disconnecting a DC connector causes an electric arc, which in turn poses a number of risks: electric shock, burns or consequential damage due to the person pulling the connector being startled. According to the regulations (DIN VDE ), photovoltaic installations must be fitted with a DC disconnecting point in order to ensure safe disconnection of the solar generator from the inverter. For this purpose, a DC isolator is fitted at the bottom of the inverter's enclosure: Inverter OFF Inverter ON Note Before you carry out maintenance work, we recommend that you first disconnect the inverter from the mains (grid) by deactivating the mains fuses and then switch the DC isolator to OFF. Warning! Once the inverter has been disconnected from the grid and the PV generator (switch set to 0), you must wait for 5 minutes until the internal capacitors have discharged before, if necessary, you open the cover of the inverter. SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Additional Residual-current-operated Circuit Breaker 6 Additional Residual-current-operated Circuit Breaker Please note that these SOLPLUS inverters are equipped with an integral, AC/DC-sensitive, residual-current-operated circuit breaker (RCCB). For this reason, there is normally no need for an external RCCB to be installed. If an RCCB is already installed or you require one to be installed for the reason given below, please note that the residual current can be higher than 30 ma and that this can lead to spurious tripping if the external RCCB if it is rated at 30 ma. Consequently, this RCCB must be rated at 300 ma. In some regions, the utility company does not guarantee a standard TN-C system but a TT system. This means that the utility is not able to guarantee the protection function of the neutral conductor (PEN) and that a separate protective ground (PE) connection has to be installed in the customer's installation. In this case, the earth contact resistance values can be very high, depending on how the PE connection is set up. For this reason, we recommend in this case that you install an additional residual-current-operated circuit breaker (300 ma) actually in the fuse box. You utility company can supply you with more detailed information in this regard. 7 Additional Rise-in-voltage Protection The inverters are equipped as standard with overvoltage protection of 115% (corresponds to 265 V). This means that the inverters shut down when the grid voltage rises above this value. Rise-in-voltage protection is implemented by monitoring a moving average over a period of 4¼ minutes. Some power utilities, however, specify lower thresholds, such as 106% (= 243 V). In this case, this threshold (parameter 51, UAC MAX) must be set to a lower value. You will find this parameter in the Input/Output menu of the inverter. Parameter 51 is password-protected (password level 3). Changes to the rise-in-voltage protection function may only be made after consulting the responsible utility company. What to do in the case of a fault 1. The settings of the standard setup for monitoring the grid, with associated switching devices per VDE 0126, remain unaffected by this. 2. The same applies to the undervoltage protection function. If it has to be changed, you do so by resetting parameter 53 (UAC MIN) accordingly. Please pay attention to "Confirmation of additional rise-in-voltage protection" at the end of these Installation Instructions. This is also available for downloading from (PDF file). SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Start-up 8 Start-up The SOLPLUS inverter operates fully automatically and is ready for operation as soon as all electrical connections have been made. Configuration The inverter is pre-configured at the factory. Please read the User Manual for instructions on how to customise your configuration and set the time and date. The inverter can by put into service only during daylight hours. If the level of insolation is sufficient (min. approx. 390 V at the solar generator), the inverter starts up automatically and feeds the current to the grid. Otherwise the inverter remains in standby mode until an adequate voltage is built up. 8.1 Switching on the inverter Connecting the grid voltage by means of external fuse elements. Switch on the solar generator by means of the DC isolator or external DC circuit breaker. The display comes on and displays the splash or start screen. The LED begins to flash green and the inverter is in standby mode. As soon as a sufficiently high generator voltage and adequate brightness are available (approx. 390 V at no load), the inverter begins to feed power into the grid. The LED then lights up green (constant). The inverter is in operation. Only ever switch the inverter on or off by means of the DC isolator (9). The DC isolator can remain switched on during normal operation. In the event of an emergency, the inverter may also be disconnected from the DC voltage of the PV modules by means of the DC isolator (9) while the installation is up and running. You can now make settings via the display (e.g., change the date/time) and read out measurement data. (See chapter entitled "Display/Menu Navigation" in the User Manual). If the display does not detect any use over a period of 10 minutes, it switches itself off. It switches itself on again as soon as a key is pressed. Warning! Never disconnect the DC plug connectors (1 3) while the inverter is operating. The electric arc that would arise if you did could kill you or result in you suffering serious injury! SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Start-up 8.2 Switching off the inverter Switch off the grid voltage / Actuate the AC disconnector or miniature circuit breaker. The LED lights up red. Switch off the solar generator by means of the DC isolator or external DC circuit breaker. The LED goes out again after a while. Danger! Always following this sequence of steps strictly! Never disconnect the solar generator by means of the DC connectors, because that can cause arcing, which poses a danger to people and the equipment of the system. Danger! Even after you have disconnected all the electrical terminals, the inverter still carries extremely dangerous voltages. Please wait until the capacitors have discharged (5 minutes) before you open and put your hands inside the inverter. Caution: the surface of the inverter housing may be hot! SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Display and Operating Unit 9 Display and Operating Unit The operating states of the SOLPLUS 80 - SOLPLUS 120 inverters are indicated by means of a light-emitting diode (LED) and on the display. The LED has two colours and indicates the instantaneous operating state of the inverter. The actual operating state is indicated on the display. For the operating state to be identified, the DC side of the inverter must be connected to the PV modules and a minimum voltage of approx. 280 V must be input into the inverter. SOLPLUS display LED Display Operating keypad LED What the operating states mean: Operating state Explanation Display content (examples) Constantly lit green Grid-feed mode SOLPLUS 120 Grid-feed mode 2510 W 2670 W 3290 W PAC=8470 W Menu Flashing green Flashing red/green Constantly lit red Initialisation or standby, e.g. because the voltage of the PV generator is too low Fault has occurred, restart in progress Fault in at least one phase of the inverter SOLPLUS 120 Initialisation 0 W 0 W 0 W PAC=0 W Menu SOLPLUS 120 Initialisation 0 W 0 W 0 W PAC=0 W Menu SOLPLUS 120 Fault: Grid failure 0 W 0 W 0 W PAC=0 W Menu What to do in the case of a fault If the LED on the inverter lights up red or red/green, read up the fault description in the Installation Instructions manual or note down the warning/alarm/fault message indicated on the display and contact your fitter. It is best if you read out all the data supplied by the SOLPLUS inverter: the last fault displayed, fault memory, data logger and list of all parameters. SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Fault Messages 10 Fault Messages Your SOLPLUS inverter operates fully automatically and requires almost no maintenance. Nevertheless, malfunctions may still arise (usually just briefly) due to external or internal causes. In such cases, appropriate fault messages are shown on the display. Faults that arise are saved. The inverter saves the last 100 faults, together with the date and time at which they arose, in the fault memory. The fault memory can be called up by the fitter by entering the password for password level Monitoring the grid connection Fault indication No. Explanation Cause Remedial action Grid frequency too low or too high 17, 18 The grid frequency is 0.5 Hz too high or 2.5 Hz too low The inverter switches off as soon as the grid frequency exceeds 50.2 Hz or falls below 47.5 Hz Enquire with your utility company about the stability and configuration of the grid Ready for operation The inverter does not start up even though the PV generator voltage is high enough The grid is not connected. The inverter does not indicate the grid voltage (voltage indicated < approx. 5 V) Check the grid connection, the power cable, the AC connector and the mains fuse Ready for operation The inverter does not start up even though the PV generator voltage is high enough The N conductor is not connected. The inverter indicates a grid voltage of approx. 120 V Check the grid N conductor UAC readings or swap grid L and N conductors 39 The inverter switches on briefly and off again after a few seconds The PE conductor is not connected or L and N are mixed up Check that L1, L2, L3, N and PE are correctly connected Grid failure, UAC positive, UAC negative 12, 13 Grid failure Grid not active. The inverter waits until it detects that the grid voltage is stable again and then restarts Check your grid connection and the fuses too if nec. Fault, ENS/MSD UAC overshoot, UAC drop 29, 30 Grid failure Check your grid connection and the fuses too if nec. Fault, ENS/MSD DC current 31 DC component in the grid current greater than 1 A The maximum permissible DC current in the grid has been exceeded Enquire with your utility company about the stability and configuration of the grid VDEW 43 Phase failure At least one grid phase has failed Check whether all three grid phases are connected Swap grid L and N 23 The inverter has detected a faulty grid connection L and N have been mixed up when connecting Make the connection as described in the section entitled "Grid connection" SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Fault Messages 10.2 PV generator monitoring Fault No. Explanation Cause Remedial action UDC too high 6 The maximum permissible DC voltage has been exceeded UDC too low 7 The generator voltage is too low The PV generator is supplying too high a voltage. The inverter switches off when the voltage is > 850 V The inverter switches off when a minimum voltage of approx. 330 V is undershot. The solar generator supplies too little energy to operate the inverter Check the dimensioning of your PV generator. Reduce the number of series-connected modules The inverter restarts automatically as soon as the voltage is above approx. 390 V again DC insulation fault 22 The insulation resistance between the solar generator and the PE conductor is too low: < 0.80 MΩ The modules or cables may be damaged or water may have ingressed Check the solar cables and their routing, and check the modules for brittle, cracked and shiny spots/areas DC residual current 21 A sudden jump in the DC residual current in excess of 30 ma has been measured in the inverter The inverter switches off due to an insulation fault, extraneous contact with the solar generator or extreme variation in brightness Check the solar cables, DC plug connectors and modules for damage, insulation faults and loose contacts Overcurrent in hardware 10 Inverter has transient overcurrent System disturbance, short circuit, overcurrent Check installation on the DC and AC sides SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31

Maintenance and Cleaning 11 Maintenance and Cleaning Check at regular intervals that your SOLPLUS inverter is functioning properly. If the heat sinks become soiled, e.g. through dirt or dust, we can no longer guarantee that the heat that arises inside the inverter is properly dissipated. Such soiling and inadequate heat dissipation has a very negative effect on the performance (output), service life and safety of the inverter. What to do in the case of a fault Do not open the inverter! There are no components inside the inverter that can be maintained or cleaned by the end user Cleaning the cooling fins Caution! The surface of the inverter housing can become hot when the inverter is in operation. Very hot! Do not touch! Switch the inverter off before you clean the cooling fins. (Caution: the capacitors require at least 5 minutes to discharge.) You can clean the cooling fins using a suitable brush Cleaning the display Note Never use a caustic, abrasive or solvent-based cleaning agent. If the display is difficult to read due to dust or dirt, use a damp cloth to wipe it Cleaning the housing Note Never use a caustic, abrasive or solvent-based cleaning agent. If the housing is dusty or dirty, use a damp cloth to wipe it. SP80-120_Installation Manual_EN_B2_ /31
