Install core nuts to the angle holes shown in the template, fix the rail brackets (L)/(R) with screws, and install the Blade Enclosure. Mark 1U Core nut installation positions 6U (height with which Blade Enclosure is installed) Mark (two marks in 5U unit) Next to the angle holes on the rack, marks are made in 1U (the unit indicating the height of the rack). Because the Blade Enclosure has the height of 6U (about 265 mm), install the Blade Enclosure in the area by the height of 6U marks. Installation of core nuts Install the core nuts at the points confirmed in "Check of installation positions". Four core nuts are to be installed totally (two at each of the front left and right sides of the rack). Install the core nuts from the inside of the rack. Hook either of the right and left clips of each core nut into the square hole, and then hook the other clip into the hole using a flat head screwdriver. NOTE: Make sure that the four core nuts are installed at the same height. Inside of rack Outside of rack

34 26 Installation of rail brackets First, loosen the four screws on the slit part of the rail brackets (L) and (R) so that the rail brackets can slide. Sliding the rail brackets is required to adjust the length of each rail to be fit to the depth of the rack (see the figure on page 28). After assembling the rail brackets, install them on the rack. Install the rail bracket so that the projection of bent part at the tip of each rail bracket closes the hole on the rack frame from inside of the rack. Slide the rail to make the rail bracket fit to the depth of the rack. When the position is determined, fix the rail with the attached M5 screws. Use two screws for each of the left and right ends in the front and rear side of the rack (see the figure on page 28). After fixing the rails, tighten the screws of the rail brackets. NOTE: Make sure that the rails are installed on the level. Also make sure that the installation points of the left and right rails are parallel with each other.
