5 ECO Shield Throughout our business operations, we do everything we can to minimise impact on the environment and help protect our planet for future generations. As a company we continually source and trial the most contemporary antistatic materials and are in the process of field trialing new biodegradable antistatic bags. As static shielding bags are inherently non-recyclable, we have introduced our ECO Shield range. ECO Shield is a trademark of Antistat which recognises the environmental pitfalls of the shielding bag ranges. As we strive to minimise the impact on the environment throughout our business operations, ECO Shield allows us to offer a carbon offsetting scheme to our customers, which in turn gives a direct contribution to the environment and certificated carbon credits to our corporate clients. RoHS Directive The RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive 2002/95/EC came into force on 1st July 2006 and restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electronic and electrical equipment within the European Market. Antistat ensures that wherever applicable, our products are RoHS compliant. There are a number of material exemptions from the RoHS Directive. Corstat provides a buried shielding layer and a sealed surface for a controlled path to ground. Bin Boxes Our bin boxes are manufactured from Corstat Conductive Fibreboard, giving static shielding and physical protection to its contents. Fully Open - Provide in plant ESD protection for dips tubes, IC s and other components. Open Front - Offer the same protection as the open bins but enable then to be stackable, so utilising storage space more effectively. The Corstat conductive coating provides faraday cage protection and the antistatic foam provides ESD safe cushioning. The packs are available in a comprehensive range of sizes and are available from stock, assembled or flat packed as required for next day delivery.
