LEVEL 1 displays are the most usually used and are explained in section 5.2. To modify the configuration, go to PROGRAMMING display and enter LEVEL 2 by pressing key. In the table below there is a list of all operation and programming options. For further information on programming see next section and for information on operation see section 5. Further information on programming 13 LOG. INTERVAL When frequency is selected with the record range, period, i.e. the graphic width and the register length, is also predetermined. One of the following values can be chosen: Frequency = 15 MIN Period = 7 D Memory = 62 weeks Frequency = 5 MIN Period = 24 H Memory = 62 days Frequency = 1 MIN Period = 12 H Memory = 31 days Frequency = 30 S Period = 6 H Memory = 15 days Frequency = 5 S Period = 60 MIN Memory = 62 hours 15 UNIT NUMBER When there are several connected data loggers to be managed by a PC, each one should be identified with a number according to their situation in the wiring. Maximum of units to be connected: 32 Maximum number for identification: PROGRAM INPUT Available inputs are numbered from 1 to 4. Each one of them should be entered to configure data sequence from 161 to DESCRIPTION Each one of the 4 inputs has 6 alphanumeric characters in capitals, lower-case letters and symbols, in order to select the desired description. To write the desired word or reference in each input description, key should be used to select 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. character. and keys should be used to select the desired alphanumeric character. The modification displayed is confirmed by key. This allows the modification of the initial description. Examples: NUM. 1 to FRUIT, NUM. 2 to MEAT, etc. 162 INPUT TYPE Inputs 1 and 2 can be configured either for temperature with NTC probes, or for humidity by 4-20 ma converters. Inputs 3 and 4 can be configured only for temperature with NTC probes. If an input is programmed as CANCELLED or is not connected, - - will be displayed as its value. 163 ALARM TYPE The alarms initial configuration is CANCELLED. They can be programmed as MAX or MIN and values and delay times can be assigned to relays R1 and R2. Both can be of either maximum or minimum, with two warning levels. Also can be one relay for maximum and the other relay for minimum. 5- OPERATION 5.1- Front panel functions The data logger front panel has a LCD screen for information, a contrast regulator for the LCD screen, a LED for alarm information, a printer with paper feed lever, only in version AKO-15715, and the following keys for operation and programming: LCD screen Printer paper feed lever AKO Change displays, selects options and reduces value Change displays, selects options and increases value Access to next level and confirm values Access to main display when there is an electrical supply failure Disable the alarm relay when alarm is activated LED indicator light Contrast regulator Printer (only in AKO-15715) in AKO Go back to previous level without confirming values in AKO Go back to previous level without confirming values Stop graphic printing Every time it is pressed paper is fed some lines without printing If no key is pressed within 3 minutes in any phase, the data logger will automatically go back to the main display, without modifying the value that has not been confirmed. 5 HOJA TÉCNICA 1571H501 Edición 01 (05 de 06) 5.2- Information and action on each display MAIN DISPLAY Number 3 in the configuration diagram identify it. Appears when the equipment is connected and 3 minutes after any operation. It provides sequence information of each one of the inputs. The information contents are: - Input number identification. It is the same number as the number in the installation diagram of section 3 - Programmed description for each input - The input value. If input is not connected or is programmed as CANCELLED, is displayed as follows: Value units in ºC or ºF. If it has been programmed 4-20, units are % Hr. - The second row displays, year - month - day, hour : minute SEE ALL THE INPUTS Number 4 in the configuration diagram identify it. Shows permanent information about the four inputs. It will be permanently displayed until we voluntarily move to another display by pressing or keys. Input 1 Input 2 Input 3 Input 4 Example Each corner, one for each entry, displays information on values and units. In the example, - - in input 4 means that this input is not connected or that it is programmed as cancelled. PRINT GRAPHIC (only in version AKO-15715) Number 2 in the configuration diagram identify it. Allows printing self-adjusting graphics with the printer. In order for that to be possible, it should be previously selected the desired period start (periods will depend on the programmed frequency value, see 13), the input number to print a certain input, or all the inputs to print all of them. 1 SELECT PERIOD START SELECT INPUT NUMBER or ALL THE INPUTS PRINT 2 The paper for the graphics is thermal. Therefore, if graphics are to be kept for a long time, copies should be made. The length of an input graphic is less than that of a DIN A4 sheet. The following information is printed for each one of the inputs: - Input number identification. It is the same number as the number in the installation diagram of section 3 - Programmed description for each input - Date and time of period start, with year - month - day hour : minute : second - Graphic period or duration - Reading frequency - Maximum and minimum values recorded - Maximum alarm value programmed - Minimum alarm value programmed When the data logger has no value recorded or a first value record for the selected period is pending, the message WITHOUT DATA is displayed or printed. The width or y axis of graphics represents recorded values and the scale is automatically adapted to these values. The length or x axis of graphics corresponds to time. Duration and memory for graphics will depend on the frequency or range programmed. With a frequency of 15 MIN, AKO data logger keeps information in memory for more than one year, thus allowing printing graphics when they are needed according to EN The same performance is also possible with AKO-15716, but a PC carries out printing (by AKO-5003 program). If frequencies lower than 15 minutes are programmed, graphics should be printed before memory runs out and keeps graphics of a whole year in order to observe EN Frequency = 15 MIN Length or period = 7 D Value units of this axis = days Frequency = 5 MIN Length or period = 24 H Value units of this axis = hours Frequency = 1 MIN Length or period = 12 H Value units of this axis = hours Frequency = 30 S Length or period = 6 H Value units of this axis = hours Frequency = 5 S Length or period = 60 MIN Value units of this axis = minutes If alarms have been programmed in this period and their values are between the maximum and the minimum value of the graphic, dashed axes corresponding to these alarms will be displayed, which allows comparison between these values and recorded values. ALARMS DISPLAY Number 5 in the configuration diagram identify it. Permanently informs of whether there are activated alarms due to surpassed values in any of the four inputs. This information is kept during 3 minutes, after which the main display automatically returns. Each corner, one for each entry, displays information with the following meaning: - No information. The current value of this input does not surpass the programmed values. - ^ The current value surpasses the MAX programmed value - The current value is lower than the MIN programmed value - A The current value surpasses the MAX or the MIN programmed values, as well as the programmed delay time - T The current value surpasses the MAX or the MIN programmed values, but not the programmed delay time - R1 Previous data affect the relay R1 of the corresponding corner input - R2 Previous data affect the relay R2 of the corresponding corner input ^ 5
6 HOJA TÉCNICA 1571H501 Edición 01 (06 de 06) Input 1 Relay 1 Relay 2 Relay 1 Relay 2 Input2 Input 3 Input 4 Example This example means: - Input 1: Higher than max.value, and delay has been surpassed in R1 for warning level 1 Higher than max.value, and delay has not beensurpassed in R2 for warning level 2 - Input 2: Lower than min. value, and delay has not beensurpassed in R2 - Input 3: Higher than max.value, and delay has not beensurpassed in R2 - Input 4: Lower than min. value, and delay has been surpassed in R1 ALARMS RECORDS Number 6 in the configuration diagram identify it. By pressing key for confirmation, the last 20 records in memory can be displayed, information is provided about the input and relay where an anomaly has occurred, whether if it is a maximum or a minimum alarm, and the date, the hour and minute when it has started Memory and autonomy The data logger memory will depend on the frequency and the period that have been configured. The data logger has an autonomy period longer than 48 hours. If a power outage occurs and the data logger is left with no electrical supply, the screen will go blank, but the equipment will continue to register and store data. During this period, every time the key is pressed, the main display will appear during 2 minutes, approximately. If the data logger remains without power supply for a period longer than 48 hours, it will cease to record data and the main display will disappear. It saves all previous records and all data entered in configuration. When the electrical supply is restored, data recording is resumed and the main screen reappears Activation and erasure of alarms When a first alarm operates, its corresponding relay is activated and the alarm LED light permanently shines. Pressing key the relay is disabled and the alarm LED starts flashing. It remains in this state until the alarm in the input is cleared, or its value in the configuration is modified. If another alarm operates while an alarm is in operation and the relay is disconnected (flashing LED), the corresponding relay is reactivated and the alarm LED light will permanently shine again Printing stop Press key to stop a printing process. 6- MAINTENANCE 6.1- Printer paper replacement (only in version AKO-15715) When a paper roll runs out, replace it with a Ref. AKO paper roll. Switching off the electrical supply or opening the data logger is not necessary to replace the paper roll. It is only necessary to gain access to the front panel by opening the transparent cover. When necessary, remove the paper roll to be replaced, and then press the key until it runs out. When the new paper roll is put into the printer, remember that the paper it is thermal and that it can only be printed on one side. The position shown in the diagram should thus be respected. Once the paper roll has been correctly fitted, insert the paper into the printer and press the paper feed key, and hold the paper until the printer itself draws it. If the paper feed has ended and paper has still not appeared in the front part of the printer, press the key again until the paper comes out at the top Fuses The equipment is fitted with protective fuses: T, 100 ma, L, 250 V Equipment cleaning Clean the external surface with a soft cloth, water, and soap. Do not use abrasive detergents, petrol, alcohol or solvents Periodic verification In order to observe the European standard EN 12830, when the data logger is used in cold store rooms, maintenance should include periodic verification as indicated in standard UNE- EN SPARE PARTS AND ACCESSORIES AKO Thermal paper roll for replacement (boxes of 10 units) AKO NTC temperature probe with 1,5 m of cable AKO-5003 Program for PC AKO Cable for probe extension (100 m rolls) AKO Humidity probe with box and 4-20 ma converter (see data sheet 1572H151) AKO-80014A Power supply unit (see data sheet 1572H151) AKO RS-232/RS-485 converter (see data sheet 1572H151) 8- WARNINGS Using the equipment without observing the manufacturer s instructions can modify the safety requirements.
